HR 1346 — the year-round E15 bill — narrowly passed the House this week and now heads to the Senate. I have been getting so many inquiries about the bill that I decided to write my thoughts in one place that everyone can access. You can find the post here: scotthirwin.com/2026/05/14/t…

MSGA is mourning the passing of Sen. Bruce Anderson. A state legislator for 30 years - along with growing up on a dairy farm - Sen. Anderson appreciated agriculture's impact on Minnesota & always took time to engage with farmer leaders, most recently during our 2025 Hill Visits.

Revenue protection crop insurance guarantees are likely to fall below most corn and soybean farmers' cost of production again this year.
However, farmers can create risk management plans that come close at a relatively affordable price, thanks to changes in several programs.

This is a great program. I thoroughly enjoyed my time visiting with ag folk, touring processors, and spending time with other young leaders from multiple facets of agriculture in our region. Thanks to @MNFarmBureau and @mnwheat.
