🚨 Akademiks says Kendrick Lamar’s “cheat code” is disappearing, then coming back to create a moment off somebody else instead of consistently doing the work
Ak says he expects Kendrick to rap his ass off on the AZ Chike and Jhené Aiko features, but if he throws shots at Drake or Game, he better not disappear again:
“If you want to be the man, play 48 minutes… don’t just sub in the last 2 minutes trying to steal the spotlight.”
Ak also says he thinks Kendrick wants to keep going back and forth with Drake because Drake does the work and Kendrick can come back in and grab the moment.
What’s The Dirt says Kendrick could have bars for Game and Drake, and Ak warns if Kendrick disses Game:
“The war just started.”
Ak brings up Game’s history of dropping endless diss records and says Kendrick can’t fire once, then say he’s done and vanish for years.

We worked on the aang movie for years with the expectation that’d we’d get to celebrate all of our hard work in theaters.. just to see
people unceremoniously leak the film and pass our shots around on twitter like candy.. (1/3)

I agree with this. One Piece covers: Racism, systemic oppression, human trafficking, corrupt governments, illegal drug/arms trade, chosen family, desire to live, all kinds of real things. PLUS THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP.
I think this is a Two Americas thing. Because for the melanated, all aunts and uncles feel like essential parts of the household.

‘Oh my God, how much stuff have I not allowed myself to enjoy because I was in my own head — feeling like I was unworthy?'
This just hit me like a ton of bricks. Fuck.
Ryan Coogler opens up about his regrets while working alongside Chadwick Boseman:
"I was about 30 years old, stressed, completely out of my mind, sleep-deprived, convinced that the movie wasn’t going to work. I robbed myself of truly enjoying that privilege — even of sitting there and enjoying the countless Chadwick Boseman takes, because he didn’t have a bad take. So when he passed, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, how much stuff have I not allowed myself to enjoy because I was in my own head — feeling like I was unworthy?'" hollywoodreporter.com/movies…
My issue here is that SB halftime shows are no longer flashy spectacles where artists just perform their greatest hits. After the precedent Kendrick & Bad Bunny set, making pointed cultural statements in their shows, I don't think CB has the range to do anything close to that.
Chris Brown shares new Instagram story following Bad Bunny’s #SuperBowl halftime show:
“I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY.. THEY NEED ME ! 😏”

Swagless dorks are dictating culture and that is why things feel so terrible right now.
