🐾 Remembering K-9 Deacon With heavy hearts, the #LACoFD mourns the passing of K-9 Deacon at 11 years old. Throughout his service, Deacon made a lasting impact, deploying alongside our USA-02 team to support search and rescue efforts following the devastating 2023 earthquake in Türkiye and the hurricanes that struck Jamaica late last year. Our deepest condolences go out to Deacon’s handler, Fire Captain Mike Toepfer, the Search Dog Foundation, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Deacon’s dedication, courage and companionship will never be forgotten. He will forever remain a cherished member of the LACoFD family. ❤️🐾
