Must the event decide between the two?"

Time waits for no one. Our attention spans are shot, pulled in every direction at once. Move fast, take the lead, dance, dance, dance like the world could end tomorrow.
And she’ll follow along.
I’ve realized that in this kinda standoff where neither side wants to escalate anything physical, but both still wanna assert dominance somehow, that whole tension war just doesn’t work — it’s like we’re forcing the other person to be the one who breaks eye contact first
Is going back to the vibe a good move, @angeldevenganza?
I’m thinking like if a guy is a regular at the same bar and this kinda tension happens, what’s the best option?

You should 'miss' her first 2-3 power plays. Fall into them, bc you arent expecting them. Its simply not in our reality. We assume they meant something different, or have poor social skills.
When we finally realize its like 'oh wow I forgot there were people like this', its quickly handled in a passing way that shows we have excess skill and the reason for our delay was not from timidness or lack of skill, but that her behavior is so rare for us our alert system no longer looks for it. It doesn't expect it anymore.
If a guy pings on every single potential power play, thats a sign he's are on high alert for any threat. He expects it = it happens frequently to him. That's just not behavior a person who is constantly being socially revered and admired tends to expect, and so his realization of it is very delayed. He may actually never realize it, bc he's literally not expecting it. It doesnt bother him, be he still knows it changes exactly nothing. He may even be happy they feel better about themselves now.
We see this in the Russell Brand video. He lets them 'get away' with it for a while. He assumes they are poorly calibrated and tactless, not that their opinion has credibility. He knows he can handle it easily, and he eventually does. As if to say 'lol you really though you had me? you never even had your car' I can't believe you would even think that, and my behavior shows it.
This literally just happened. A girl I’m flirting with said I must have tons of romantic experience. I denied, and she said she’d heard that before from a friend with a bunch of exes
So I got back into the vibe with my own version of "But why is the rum gone?"
There’s no technique to get into vibe, bc the vibe is a concept of identification, not application.
When @angeldevenganza says “it’s a frequency with no goals and no effort,” he means that’s how it feels when u’re in it
