Charlie Villanueva says a white player has never been the best player in the NBA.
“When was the last time a white player was single-handedly the best player? I love white people. My first nut was with a white girl, so why would I be racist? I’m not racist.”

Guy that’s choosing to not promote the things big corps use to get you physically, emotionally and financially addicted towards is getting blitzed lols
Victor Wembanyama says he wants to promote healthy habits over the player who chooses to be an influencer or “the guy that promotes gambling and alcohol.”

Yaxel ISOs have equaled POINTS so far this season
Last night, the Warriors got 1.78 points per direct ISO from Yaxel Lendeborg, the best mark this season for any player with 9 or more direct ISOs in a game. It would have been the 18th-best ISO game last season.
On top of that, they got 1.42 points per direct on-ball pick for Yaxel Lendeborg.
Last season, the only players to generate 1.7 points per direct ISO and 1.4 points per direct pick (in a game where they had at least 9 direct actions) were Luka, SGA, Brunson, Kawhi, Jamal Murray, and Harden. Special stuff from the rook.

The first couple weeks of the season have to be Hell for NBA GM’s answering to Team Owners
When you pass on a guy like Yaxel Lendeborg, the best player on the best team in college, and then he does this right out of the gate, yikes

This makes it worse actually.
i normally ignore the comments, but tatum stans have started to become totally insane towards me, so i’m just gonna address them once and then never again:
1) the last time jayson tatum was eligible for awards, i voted for him for first team all nba, and 4th place for mvp. he is a great player and i don’t regret those votes at all.
2) he is having a great year so far, which is awesome, because coming back from an achilles is not easy
3) i have only gotten to watch one of his games this season, the first one, because i am not a superhero and while i watch as many games as i can, i do not see them all
These voters for most sports now are all pathetic. The most elite athletes in the world could miss out on a high prestige career achievement because chronically online losers like this get a say.
Then on the other hand I gotta see my QB lose out on an MVP with no good reasoning because a failed ex NFL QB got the job through ESPN and wanted to vote his friend.
You people don’t take any pride in your job and it hurts the sport. It ruins the prestige of these individual awards. Then to make it better you come on here with no professionalism at all and spam garbage agenda pieces. Go find something you are actually passionate about and venture into that because it’s clearly not basketball.

Paul George on the responsibility he takes in trying to win the non-Tatum minutes in the fourth quarter:
“I do take those minutes very important.”
“…He’s doing everything we need of him. He’s playmaking, he’s getting his own shots, he’s creating, he’s defending, rebounding, he’s doing a lot.
“So, if I can make it easy for him, and he doesn’t have to press when he comes back in, ultimately, I’m trying to win those minutes for him.”

Paul George on his motivation to win a championship:
“Year 17, that’s all I care about. I don’t care about scoring. I don’t care about whatever it is. It’s all about winning. I’m gonna do whatever I can to win…That’s the one thing I’m seeking.”

.@RealBobManning has really liked what he’s seen so far from Jayson Tatum this season:
“High marks for Tatum to start this year. I think this is exactly, even without the shooting efficiency that you'd love to see from him. I think just the way he's led this offense has been admirable.”
you can't duck that convo Vic
you gotta own it to overcome it
Victor Wembanyama turned down interview from French journalist due to NBA Finals questions
“After the finals, with all the criticism he had, I was really hopeful I could try to talk to him one-on-one, like a lot of other people. Let’s say he was very quiet. I talked to his people, to his agents, and they said basically he does not want to talk about the finals. From what I understand now, this is still something that hurts him, what happened in the finals.”
