Because he’s too busy covering 100km every game because he doesn’t have a competent DM or ball progressor behind him.
Genuinely why doesn’t he move like this anymore, is there an injury we don’t know about

We’re an actual embarrassment. It’s one thing selling the only versatile forward we have (who also offers cover for our ONLY striker at the minute), but to sell him to an actual rival, just shows those at the top only see money signs. I haven’t been his biggest fan, but he’s been absolutely sound in the world cup, pre season and since the start of the campaign. Massive fuck up, unless 2 players who are better than him come in, which they won’t. Pathetic.

There’s a lot of absolute shite going around about @spiritofshankly - all because of a letter seeking clarification on the club ownership, nothing major. Surely if you care about your club, you want to know what’s going on with it? This isn’t a video game. Real people’s lives are affected by this massive football club. So, one group wanting to find out some info on a major sale of part of the club is just something that is done on the basic level really. If you’re a supporter, you should want to know what’s happening and why. SOS are one supporters group that is part of the board. They have their own members, votes and elections within that, as do the others. The supporters’ board is there to represent all the fans of Liverpool FC. From aspects about ticketing, disability and major things such as stadium moves and so on. The other groups that make up the board are: LDSA - Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association. Represents disabled fans access to the club (when it suits Ted). Kop Outs - the official LGBT+ supporters' group. Self explanatory what they do really. Spion Kop 1906 - organises flag displays, banners, tributes and so on. Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs - They cover supporters’ groups from around the world and represent those fans. Liverpool Women’s Supporters Committee - They cover the women’s game. CultuRED - covers different faiths and cultures. There are elections for each group and member votes. If you think it’s just one fella with a social media account, you’re very mistaken. They have a real impact at high levels within the club. I’ve personally seen the impact of both SOS and the LDSA and they’re mostly positive. Just like most groups, you do have internal factions and people getting too big for their boots, they’re usually resolved via elections though. Without fan representation and people having a vested interest in their own club and community, it just completely loses what the club is supposed to be. In my opinion, you see a lot of the new fans just simply wanting the club to spend whatever they want in an unsustainable way so they can brag that “their” club has a certain player. Or worse, the “Player FC” fans. If the club was to be badly run and to cease to exist tomorrow, that affects a lot of people’s daily lives. The unaffected people just go and find another club to “support” and that’s that. If the club was to do things that negatively impact certain groups then they’re represented and soon stopped. The major gripe of foreign fans is “SOS don’t represent me”. They represent us all. But you have your local LOSC for that - join in, they don’t bite!

Games gone. A club I used to feel an integral part of, a club I used to know people at, could turn up and talk to staff at, is now as remote as Disney or ... well ... Amazon.

Online Liverpool fans hate on Spirit of Shankly and that type of thing but we're gonna need these fan advocate groups more than ever with new ownership coming in. Otherwise the very soul of the club will become a husk. More business entity and never a football club. SOS.

🟥 Liverpool, Bezos and the Price of Staying at the Top Well, it’s done. Jeff Bezos is now part of Liverpool’s ownership structure through K5 Sports, within the 1892 Holdings consortium led by Amit Bhatia. The stake is understood to be around 30% to one third, with Bhatia becoming vice chairman. FSG retain majority ownership and operational control. I’ve written two long Substack pieces about where I think this ultimately leads, but it’s Friday night and, two glasses of red wine into my weekend, a tweet is about all I can muster. My instinct hasn’t changed. This feels like another step towards the eventual end of FSG’s ownership, even if that day may remain years away. The transaction documents reportedly allow flexibility over how the relationship develops, although there is no predetermined route towards further ownership. The uncomfortable part is what Liverpool are becoming, or perhaps what elite football has already become. I understand the excitement. Bezos, Bhatia, the Saverin family, extraordinary wealth, global connections, technology, Asia, new commercial possibilities. There could be enormous long term benefits. I also understand supporters who feel deeply uneasy. Liverpool’s soul matters more to me than another £100m signing. Shankly’s Liverpool and billionaire capitalism make uncomfortable bedfellows. Yet who buys a football club worth billions in 2026? That's modern football’s grim contradiction. We want Liverpool competing at the very top without losing what made Liverpool worth loving in the first place. FSG have made their move. Now we watch very carefully what comes next. #LFC

I’m told the provision in the deal is NOT a mutual option — meaning, if the consortium wants to become the controlling shareholder at $8b in the next 12 months, it will.
CNBC Sport Scoop: The Liverpool deal signed today contains language that could allow the Bezos consortium to buy a controlling ownership stake in the next 12 months at a valuation around $8 billion cnbc.com/2026/08/14/jeff-bez…

Fenway Sports Group have announced a strategic minority investment in Liverpool Football Club, entering into a definitive agreement for the sale of a minority equity stake in the club to 1892 Holdings.

Increíbles las respuestas a este posteo. Uno piensa que el club/el fútbol se pierde desde arriba, pero claramente también se pierde desde abajo.

We’re going to watch the club die in real time and guys are celebrating because of “more money for transfers”…. We spend loads every summer, we’ve been financially backed for years, people like him coming into the club IS NOT a good thing.
