I'm sorry for what happened, @michaelb4jordan and @authenticdelroy. I'm sorry no one apologized. I'm sorry that the harm done to you is being brushed to the side. I'm sorry the BBC aired it unedited. I don't know if it matters, but you deserve an apology, so I'm sorry.

I had the same question, and I also would not have considered turning!
The assignment was to write their first and last name in Desmos. They had to use functions we studied this year and could use additional ones as they wanted/needed.
My students never cease to amaze me whenever I assign this project (#DesmosNames). I get some of their best work and I hear things like "this was fun" and "I felt so smart doing this." These were created using just math equations in Desmos' graphing calculator! #mathISfun #MTBoS
Love, love, love the Desmos Name Project every time I assign it. Today a student told me that whenever she makes an equation go where she wants it, and then changes the domain to cut it off exactly right, she "feels really smart." #mathISfun
Congrats @i_williams11 the Lions are my team!! I'll be watching you this fall.

On the right a right triangle with sides 3 and 4 and hypotenuse 6. Impossible.

The triangles are right triangles. Since the triangle on the left has a height of 4 and a hypotenuse of 5, it's a 3-4-5 triangle. Making that first part of segment DC 3 units long. That means the last part of DC must also be 3 units long. But that would make that triangle...

Here's the problem. The trapezoid cannot exist as it was drawn. The height from B to the base is 4, so the height from A to the base is 4. Since DC is 11, and AB is 5, that means that the middle part of DC is 5 and the other two pieces must be 6 in total.

Also, x usually represents a kiss, so xxx sounds like...something that might get you a stern warning at least.
