⚖️COURT UPDATE⚖️There is a NEW development in Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP V. Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music, LLC.
The law firm has now formally asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to enter a $295,605.41 DEFAULT JUDGMENT against Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music.
The request was filed on November 3, 2026.
Gordon Rees says the amount consists of $229,541.75 in unpaid legal fees, $25,249.51 in contractual late charges, $37,825.00 in attorneys’ fees incurred pursuing this lawsuit and $2,989.15 in litigation costs.
The firm is also asking for any additional contractual late charges that continued accruing after June 26, 2026.
According to Gordon Rees, the firm was retained to represent Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music in the federal litigation Julius Johnson V. Nicki Minaj
The firm alleges it provided the legal services but was not fully paid.
Gordon Rees says the unpaid principal balance is $229,541.75
and that the agreement imposed a late charge of up to 1% per month on unpaid balances beginning 45 days after an invoice was mailed.
One of the declarations gives additional detail about how Gordon Rees says the agreement became binding.
Attorney Susan Meyer states that the proposed Legal Services Agreement was sent in September 2024 to attorney Jordan Siev of Reed Smith LLP, whom she identifies as Nicki and Harajuku’s attorney and agent.
According to Meyer, the agreement initially remained unsigned because the firm was told Nicki was touring and occupied with professional commitments.
Meyer says that on October 2, 2024, she wrote that Gordon Rees was continuing to provide services with the understanding that Nicki and her company agreed to the terms but had not been able to sign.
According to the declaration, Siev responded “That is correct. Thanks.”
Gordon Rees now relies on that communication as evidence that the terms of the Legal Services Agreement were accepted.
The firm further states that Nicki and Harajuku have never denied that the agreement was entered into or disputed its terms.
Gordon Rees also states that defaults had previously been entered against BOTH Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music after the complaint allegedly went unanswered.
The firm is now taking the next step, asking the COURT to turn those defaults into an actual MONEY JUDGMENT.

Jasmine Crockett used to think Republicans were the racists. Then she ran against a Democrat.
She expected Republicans to spend millions on attack ads against her, but admits “their ads were fair.”
What she didn’t expect was that the racist ones “were coming from the super PAC on behalf of [James Talarico].”
The Left always accuses you of what they’re doing themselves.
