I love that @McConaughey is talking about the "Wasted Vote" because now it will get some attention. Because, what Matthew McConaughey doesn't know is that when people like me speak...we aren't heard. It's like speaking while female. Or speaking while Black. When you are speaking while not represented by the Democrats or Republicans...no one hears you.

The “spoiler theory” and “wasted vote” hypothesis are lies. Third-party and independent candidates fill a political void that give voters a reason to show up. And when our voters show up, they usually vote down ballot too. That’s the real political power of the “wasted” vote.
