He had an eliminator in January and got injured. If he had that fight and won he wouldve been fighting for a vacant title.
Gollaz was robbed blind last year against Delgado who's meant to be fighting for said vacant title.
Azim has lacked momentum for various reasons. The public perception has taken needless hits over the years. There have been loads of mistakes that were completely avoidable. Shalom deserves criticism for those mistakes. (Eubank, Smith for the EBU, etc etc)
This fight is fine though. Its the most direct route he could take right now to get a world title fight. Muratalla is WBO Mandatory, Smith is aiming for unifications. Agrba is due a WBA shot.
Boxxer doesn't get to chose the opponent that the IBF put up for a final eliminator. This isn't like an eliminator for #2. What do you want them to do? Turn down the eliminator?
Boxing is not a serious sport
🚨Dan Rafael is reporting that Lindolfo Delgado's passport had either expired or was about to expire. Saudi Arabia do not issue a visa if a passport is either expired or within 6 months of expiring.
Delgado got his passport renewed last week, and got confirmation of his Visa on Sunday, the day he pulled out of his scheduled IBF Suped Lightweight Title bout against Arthur Biyarslanov

DAZN or whoever the higher-ups Johnny Clark is referring to need to give Top Tier Boxing the backing and budget they deserve. Their last show was brilliant, well-matched fights and entertaining from start to finish. British boxing needs more shows like that. Hopefully we see plenty more.

🥊 “WE REFUSED TO RISK OUR FIGHTER’S SAFETY!”
Robert Garcia reveals why his team withdrew from the Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli undercard in Saudi Arabia.
Garcia says ongoing missile alerts, uncertainty over flights and an unrealistic travel schedule made it impossible to safely prepare Lindolfo Delgado for his world title fight.
With only days to adjust to the time difference and make weight, Garcia says the decision was clear.
“We just couldn’t go.”
🔥 Did Garcia make the right call in putting his fighter’s safety and preparation first?

🍅Britain is in a cost of living crisis. 50+% of food we buy in supermarkets is now own-label. Tinned tomatoes cost just 43p in supermarkets.
So...how on earth has @MuttiPomodoro – costing £1.60 – become the UK no1 tinned tomato brand? I went to Parma to find out... 🧵1/6
Excluding the main event, top tier card today will be superior to yesterday's MR card.
Of course the main event is, well, the main event. But need to demand better of "blue chip" promoters and give more respect to the "small hall" promoters. Dazn put your hand in your pocket 💰
Kieran McCann had the most variance. He scored 6 of the 12 rounds opposite to how the other two judges agreed on scoring them.
Some of those rounds were clearly scored incorrectly in favor of both fighters, I believe.
All three judges agreed on only 3 rounds.

What a great fighter!!!
They better pay this man. These are the guys who deserve the big bucks. DAZN stop wasting money of the divas and twitter boxers.
