Proud to have represented the Uganda Bar as one of only two selected Advocates from Uganda at the East Africa AI and Digital Rights Training (#EAADRT) 2025. This transformative regional program strengthened our capacity as Advocates in AI governance, digital rights litigation, and ethical AI practices. It culminated in the powerful East Africa AI Forum 2025 on July 4, 2025, at Fontis Residences, Kampala, bringing together legal minds, policymakers, and tech advocates to shape responsible AI across the region.

On this #DataPrivacyDay 2026, I am thrilled to share reflections from the #DataFestAfrica2025 , an inspiring gathering under the powerful theme #ReclaimingOurDataFutures this past October!
As one of the highlights of the 2-day event, I had the privilege of: moderating the roundtable discussion on Day 1, sparking critical conversations on Africa's data sovereignty, digital rights, and community-centered futures. As well as facilitating a Masterclass on Youth Digital Ownership on Day 2, empowering the next generation to take control of their data narratives and digital identities.
Huge shoutout to @PollicyOrg for curating and hosting such a vital platform that brings together activists, policymakers, creatives, civil society, and innovators to advance Afro-feminist, human-centered approaches to data and tech across the continent.
