Hometown hero & freshman Labaron Philon (@LabaronPhilon) is off to a stellar start to the season! Elite two-way prospect has taken @AlabamaMBB to another level! 🎰🔥
The 6’4” PG can score with the best of them, but is impacting the game for the Crimson Tide in so many ways.
A consistent triple-double threat, Philon’s name is rising in Draft conversations rapidly. Currently mocked at 13th overall by NBA Draft Net. 📈

Continues to be a brighter spot on this refined Alabama squad as Coach @nate_oats irons out his rotations 🐘🙌
Rapid climber on big boards as well 🪜

Labaron Philon is one of the more intriguing prospects heading into the season. Standing at 6’4” with great positional size, his offseason was marked by uncertainty due to the depth of Alabama’s backcourt. Philon, however, came out of the gates ready to prove himself as one of the higher-upside prospects in this draft. In his first game against UNC Asheville, he posted impressive stats:
24 Min
10 Pts (4/7 57.1% FG)
9 AST
2 Reb
3 Stl
2 Blk

Alabama 4⭐️ freshman @LabaronPhilon is among the top guards in the SEC!! 😳🔥
Do-it-all PG w/ massive scoring flashes in the preseason, dropping 17 PTS in the @AlabamaMBB win over Memphis. 🐘 Averaged 35.0/6.2/3.9 during his Mr. Basketball season with @baker_hoops 📊
Lights out shooter with impressive athleticism in transition. His gritty defense & team-first mentality will get him minutes EARLY for @nate_oats 🙌

Although an exhibition, Alabama beat a pretty solid Wake Forest team by 21 without key players… This young duo is more than ready to produce meaningful minutes for Bama this year.
