🎉🌼🌸April Fools! 🌸🌼🎉 Only kidding. Obviously, the people mentioned in the above tweets aren't women at all, but men, every last one of them. In passing the Scottish Hate Crime Act, Scottish lawmakers seem to have placed higher value on the feelings of men performing their idea of femaleness, however misogynistically or opportunistically, than on the rights and freedoms of actual women and girls. The new legislation is wide open to abuse by activists who wish to silence those of us speaking out about the dangers of eliminating women's and girls’ single-sex spaces, the nonsense made of crime data if violent and sexual assaults committed by men are recorded as female crimes, the grotesque unfairness of allowing males to compete in female sports, the injustice of women’s jobs, honours and opportunities being taken by trans-identified men, and the reality and immutability of biological sex. For several years now, Scottish women have been pressured by their government and members of the police force to deny the evidence of their eyes and ears, repudiate biological facts and embrace a neo-religious concept of gender that is unprovable and untestable. The re-definition of 'woman' to include every man who declares himself one has already had serious consequences for women's and girls’ rights and safety in Scotland, with the strongest impact felt, as ever, by the most vulnerable, including female prisoners and rape survivors. It is impossible to accurately describe or tackle the reality of violence and sexual violence committed against women and girls, or address the current assault on women’s and girls’ rights, unless we are allowed to call a man a man. Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal. I'm currently out of the country, but if what I've written here qualifies as an offence under the terms of the new act, I look forward to being arrested when I return to the birthplace of the Scottish Enlightenment. If you agree with the views set out in this tweet, please retweet it. #ArrestMe #AprilFools #HateCrimeActScotland 11/X

This is magnificent to watch. The President of Guyana truly put the BBC in its place. When sanctimony and pomposity meets sense and modesty.

Huge thanks today to India Willoughby, Katy Montgomerie, Jordan Daly, Robin Moira White, Heather Herbert and everyone else who did so much to peak the UK and put an end to the gruesome experiment of giving kids puberty blockers. Couldn't have done it without you, lads.

Helena Concannon speaking about the 'Care' Article that today's neo-liberal slave drivers of Irish women tried to make us believe was sexist. Amazing words. #internationalwomensday #Referendum2024

Aware as I am that it's an offence to lie to law enforcement, I'll simply have to explain to the police that, in my view, India is a classic example of the male narcissist who lives in a state of perpetual rage that he can't compel women to take him at his own valuation. 5/5

This mother of a severely disabled son NEEDS your NO vote. She has an active case before the courts. If Art 41.2 is deleted, her case becomes null & void. This carer NEEDS your NO to bring her case to the Supreme Court. 👇🏻 #VoteNoNo Don't #VoteYesYes irishtimes.com/crime-law/cou…

The largest passenger plane in the world, flying halfway across the world, with the Premier of one of the biggest polluting country’s in the world, meeting the biggest clown in the world that’s forcing Irish farmers to cull 200,000 cows because their farts are destroying the world! Whoever is writing the script of this insanity we are currently living through is a fricking genius!!!

It boggles my mind that after decades of being told to not walk alone at night, lock your doors, don't get into an elevator alone with a strange man, be careful of stairways, watch your drink, carry your keys in your hand, don't go into the park at night...

A Piece of Paper does not an Irishman Make One of the most dishonest ways the hard left on X tried to spin the Algerian knife attacker's identity was by calling him 'an Irish citizen'. There is a fashionable narrative out there that the moment you get an Irish passport - which are handed out like confetti - you magically become as Irish as Kerrygold and Brian Boru. It is nonsense of course. The Algerian knife attacker is later middle aged. He was naturalised 20 years ago, that means he spent the majority of his life and all of his formative years in Algeria. He's Algerian with Irish paperwork and a right to reside in Ireland. That's all. I am an Irishman who's lived in Germany for more than a decade. I am a model immigrant. I have a German wife, I live in a small village, I am active in the community, I contribute to society in various ways outside of tax. I have no criminal record and my kids are German. I make sure to bring them to museums, read German stories to them at night and enmesh them in their German culture and history. I, however, am not German and never will be, no matter how much I may want that. I am a highly integrated Irish immigrant to Germany. I conducted hundreds of interviews of immigrant and second and third generation immigrant kids in Tannanplatz, a high migration, low income part of Ulm, Germany as part of my doctoral thesis from 2012-2018. It was clear that even in the third generation many of these kids did not see themselves as German. This was particularly the case for Turkish and North African arab kids. In fact, they'd laugh at you if you called them German. There are several factors for that but the chief one is a rejection of the host culture by their parents and grandparents who came as 'guest workers' to Germany in the 50s and 60s. A secondary cause was bad planning by the government which allowed large groups of people of the same ethnicity settle together in areas. They had little incentive to integrate even if they wished to. That is a mistake that Ireland is now also making despite having decades of integration failure to look at on the continent. We saw that failure play out on national television the morning after the riot when a woman was brought on to talk about the riot in Dublin and said "I'm proud to be Irish but I'm even more proud to be an immigrant". It's a nothing, trendy political statement of someone who sees being Irish as simply getting a piece of paper. It is a nothing statement of identity wholly embraced and promoted by the Irish government and national press. At this point we do not know if the Algerian knife attacker was cocooned in the Algerian community in Dublin and had no contact to Irish culture and society or if he was a regular fixture at local hurling games, sitting in on local set dancing sessions on a Friday and read the stories of Fionn and the Fianna to his kids at night so that they will grow up to be proud Irish men and women. While these seem like overblown stereotypes the point is that being a model immigrant requires conscious and consistent commitment to integration, it is not a piece of paper. And the pattern of extreme violence against women and children by immigrants in Ireland in recent years trends towards the former - rejection of the local culture. Pretending that being 'an Irish citizen' implies that someone is Irish is a leftist political tool designed to distract from a debate surrounding the failures of mass migration.

The Honourable Chris Kourakis has issued a statement referring to my 'anxiety' about the use of female pronouns for men standing trial for violence against women and rape. He states that 'a victim of crime would never be asked to address an accused person in a way which caused the victim distress.' That assurance is welcome, although I note that he’s addressed the matter only after it was raised publicly. No such exemption is mentioned in the Practice Note, which takes the ideological position that the ‘use of preferred gender pronouns is a matter of respect’. The natural inference is that a woman would be considered guilty of disrespect if she, alone in the courtroom, described her male attacker as a man, while all court officials were addressing and describing him as a woman. This is not a hypothetical situation. The judge will be aware, if he's informed himself – as he implies I have not - that I've already cited an example where a 60-year-old woman was violently assaulted by a 26-year-old trans-identified male. She was chided by the judge for displaying 'bad grace' by not using her attacker's preferred pronouns. The Practice Note does not acknowledge that in sexual and violent crimes committed by men against women, there is a clear clash of rights. The woman has a right - indeed, a legal duty - to speak truthfully about the male violence/sexual violence to which she was subjected. Meanwhile the Practice Note says that court officials should respectfully use female pronouns for the attacker if he says he identifies as a woman. The likely effect on a traumatised woman of hearing her attacker addressed and described as a female by the court is neither mentioned nor addressed in the Practice Note. Respect, it seems, goes only one way. Millions of women are losing confidence in judicial systems that have adopted an ideological position with which they do not agree. In the very place where they go to seek justice, a woman may now be obliged to listen to court officials asserting they were raped or beaten by a fellow woman. Such women are not merely ‘anxious’, they are furious, about the apparent inability of certain men, judges or not, to understand how dystopian this situation seems to those of us who have suffered male sexual violence.
