I just ran across this super different concept and had to share it with you. It’s called minds.games and the easiest way to explain it is fantasy sports, but for AI. Instead of picking real athletes for a fantasy team, you go to hellominds.ai and basically build your own AI "mind." You set up how smart it is, how it makes decisions, and what strategy it uses. Then you enter it into a league. Here’s the crazy part once the season starts, you’re locked out. You literally can’t tweak it or fix its mistakes. It just plays out the whole season completely on its own, and all you can do is refresh the leaderboard, watch it compete against hundreds of other people's bots, and pray your strategy actually works. Every season is a different game, too. One month your AI might be playing poker or chess, and the next it’s trying to do crypto trading or sports predictions. They’ve got a **$100k prize pool** split over 10 seasons, backed by Animoca Brands and a couple of other big names. Every time a major event hits, prediction markets explode with volume and usually, the underlying chains start lagging or gas fees spike through the roof It’s pretty obvious standard general purpose chains weren't really built for high frequency betting logic. I’ve been tracking how @PRDCTR_IO is tackling this. Instead of just launching another frontend, they built a dedicated AppChain specifically for prediction markets. The idea is to separate the consumer app predictor.io/ from the infrastructure layer PRDCTR Network using ethereum:0xc84782858b7bef5d25182dbac956a6aa463aefe5 for gas and nodes to keep everything running. Now, building a custom chain brings its own headaches fragmented liquidity, getting enough node operators, convincing people to bridge. But if prediction markets are actually going to scale past niche crypto Twitter, having purpose built rails instead of fighting for block space on busy mainnet might be a trade-off worth making. Will be interesting to see if the network can actually pull in independent developers beyond their own flagship app, but the core infra argument is hard to ignore. prdctr.io/
