Learning reached beyond the classroom in June as Dr. Gabriel Gutierrez and Dr. Madina Djuraeva led a study abroad experience in Mérida, where students explored the region's culture, visited Mayan ruins, strengthened their Spanish, and studied alongside educators in Mexico. ✈️
One of the coolest perks of being a Teacher of the Year is participating in Space Camp. Sarah Hardin, 2026 Nebraska Teacher of the Year got to reach new heights and experience some pretty stellar activities during her time at Space Camp in Alabama. #spacecamp

Three ICE-related deaths in just a week. There is no reforming a system built to terrorize immigrant communities. Abolish ICE.

Not even finished with Marking Period 1, and my students of Spanish 1 are doing AMAZING things in our class. Minor mistakes, but NO Google Translate, NO AI, just a piece of paper and a pencil.
My students are THE best!!!! 🙌🏽

Last week I spoke to the community college community on “The Power of Purpose.” Each of us has the ability to make a difference through our purpose. But when we connect those purposes, something bigger happens.
Individually we make an impact—together we transform lives.
