There’s something Hayden Panettiere once said about Remember the Titans that is especially difficult to hear today.
Hayden was only 10 when she played Sheryl Yoast, the real-life daughter of coach Bill Yoast.
In an Interview, while talking about the movie, Hayden mentioned that Sheryl had died very young.
She was just 34.
Hayden was 36.
Two young women, connected by a role that introduced so many of us to Hayden more than 25 years ago.
Sometimes there really isn’t anything more to say.
Rest in peace, Hayden.

This is incredibly sad news to wake up to...
Hayden Panettiere has died at just 36 years old.
For an entire generation, she was Claire Bennet on Heroes, the cheerleader at the center of one of television’s most memorable taglines:
“Save the cheerleader. Save the world.”
But many of us watched Hayden grow up on screen long before that.
She started acting as a child, appeared in Remember the Titans, voiced Dot in A Bug’s Life, and later gave one of her defining performances as Juliette Barnes on Nashville, earning two Golden Globe nominations.
She also became part of the Scream franchise as Kirby Reed.
36 years old.
It’s hard to even process that.
Whatever role you remember her from, Hayden was one of those faces who seemed to have been on our screens forever because so many of us literally watched her grow up.
Rest in peace, Hayden Panettiere.🙏
