At @LivUni there is (or was, when I was there) a stone plaque for "MATHEMATICS AND OCEANOGRAPHY". Oceanography has long moved out, but their covenant in stone was borne of the desire for both to have a shared large scale (for the time) compute resource in the basement.
If you hire a random person, they may or may not perform in the job. With AI, that randomness is replaced by the random seed and the inherent randomness in inference. The variance in rollout quality is so enormous. Same problem, same model, same question, whole spectrum of ...

Such a cool talk!
I’m up next at the @quantum_village to talk about how quantum networks build composable compute and some qkd attack research

Don't forget - QKD can actually be hacked... We've had some stellar talks on this @quantum_village , best of which is from Prof. Vadim Makarov: youtu.be/Phh-jO--bDU
Charles Bennett and Gilles Brassard won the Turing Award for inventing quantum cryptography. The BB84 protocol lets two parties exchange encryption keys with unconditional security guaranteed by quantum physics. Their apparatus demonstrated quantum key distribution across a distance of 30 centimeters. Today it's up to 1,000 kilometers (via satellites).
