The incredible ride continues for the Valkyries! Sweeping the defending WNBA champs in Vegas in OT.
87-77. They'll face Atlanta in the finals, with game 1 at Chase on Saturday 10/17.
Incredible story: the Golden State Valkyries, in just their 2nd year in existence, now one win away from reaching the WNBA Finals...83-81 over Vegas in game 2 of their playoff series.
Always loved working with Barry back in the day. Incredible analyst and even better person. We lost a great man today.
Barry Melrose, a hockey player-turned-coach who led the Los Angeles Kings to the 1993 Stanley Cup Final, has died. He was 70.
A look back at his life and career here: abc7news.com/19813334/
The Wiseman pick hurt but Kuminga was even worse. The warriors could’ve traded JK 2 years ago for a bonafide asset. Instead they waited & waited & waited only to swap him for Porzingis who is constantly hurt. The dubs had one young asset and doomed their future hanging onto JK
The Warriors' pursuit of LeBron offers a hard dose of reality for the team's rabid fan base. nytimes.com/athletic/7419681…
Impossible to know what LeBron is thinking but do you want to play alongside Steph Curry or James Harden?
I’ve been lobbying the warriors for weeks to take Yaxel Lendeborg in the draft. And this was the moment.
If the Warriors could sign DeRozan at a reasonable price, he could be the secondary scorer when Steph goes to the bench. Especially while waiting for Butler to get healthy.
The Kings are expected to waive DeMar DeRozan if they cannot find a trade partner, per @MikeAScotto
The Clippers are considered the favorites to sign him.
“In the midst of a rebuild and over the first apron, barring an unexpected trade, the Sacramento Kings are expected to waive-and-stretch forward DeMar DeRozan, HoopsHype has learned. DeRozan’s $25.74 million expiring contract is only guaranteed for $10 million, which can be stretched over the next three seasons. Should DeRozan enter free agency as expected, the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to have interest in the California native, HoopsHype has learned.”

Santa here, just letting you know our ABC7 Xmas NBA promo has been nominated for an Emmy. Hope you all enjoyed it.
STUNNING game 7 win by the Spurs 111-103 at OKC. It’s the Spurs & Knicks in the @NBAFINALS. Game 1 is Wednesday on ABC7.
The Warriors are an old team and they looked old tonight. Turnovers were a problem all year, again tonight with 21! Summer starts early for Golden State with big decisions on Steve Kerr and which free agents to pursue.
The Warriors played a horrible first half (11 turnovers) and are only down 5 at the half. In decent shape given how they started in Phoenix.
I may be a bit biased but Steph Curry is the best show in the NBA. Absurdly dominant for a guy who is 6’3.
