🎀Today is the last day of BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, but when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I knew that EVERY MONTH is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀
❤️🩹 On the regular, I share the details of my ongoing Breast Cancer journey to inspire others to have awareness about Breast Cancer. I share to inspire others to make sure they have their mammograms, and that they stay out in front of the threat of Breast Cancer.

Mrs. LeVan's Anatomy and Physiology students have been studying the integumentary system in class, including learning about different kinds of skin wounds. Not only did they study the stages of healing, burns, & types of skin cancer, they made their own realistic-looking wounds!

This is what the Hempfield and Latrobe football teams will play for Friday night.
The Lincoln Trophy, named after Lincoln Highway (Route 30).
The trophy made its debut in 2013 but went into hiding until Hempfield discovered it in storage in offseason.
This will be their 51st meeting. Hempfield leads the all-time series, 29-18-3. Spartans 4-1 since trophy was introduced.

Shine On: Latrobe senior Emerson Shine overcame serious injuries early in her career that helped make her the player she is today.
Fast and physical, she is one of the WPIAL's best.
“She is a spitfire out there."

A couple of area standouts -- both hard-hitters with a throwback mentality -- will suit up for Pitt this season.
Freshman 6-foot-7, 285-pound defensive lineman Dylan Pitzer (Derry) and sophomore linebacker John Wetzel (Latrobe).

First look at Latrobe's new white and orange uniforms. Might be first time ever they don't have black in their outfits.
Helmets will still be black.
Quarterback Dom Scarton (13) thinks the Wildcats will be much improved this season.

Latrobe rising junior baseball pitcher Aaron Gaskey commits to Penn State.
The 6-foot-3 right-hander has been clocked at 84–87 MPH range but has touched lower 90s. Very good curveball.
Threw 6/1 no-hit innings against Plum in late in WPIAL season. Hit pitch count but struck out 10 in that win.

After a lot of prayer, thought, and conversations with the people who mean the most to me, I am beyond excited and blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and baseball career at Penn State!
First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to play the game I love and for guiding me every step of this journey. None of this would be possible without Him.
To my family—thank you for every sacrifice, every early morning, every late-night drive, and for believing in me even when things were difficult. Your love and support have meant everything, and no matter how hard I try, I just can’t quite seem to put it into words.
To every coach I’ve had from Little League through high school, thank you for investing your time in me, pushing me to become a better player and an even better person. I wouldn’t be where I am today without everything you’ve taught me.
Thank you to my teammates, friends, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for all of you, and making all the hard days feel so much easier and lighter for me. Pushing me when I didn’t want to be pushed, helped me see the positive through all the bad . You guys all made the game feel so effortless and easy even on my hardest days.
Finally, thank you to the coaching staff at Penn State for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be part of such a great program. They have been there since day one, seen all the good, bad, and everything that’s in between, and still made sure to show that they were there for me no matter what. I owe it to them to work as hard as I can and try my absolute hardest whether I feel like it or not because they were willing to take a chance on me like no other. can’t wait to get to work and represent Penn State both on and off the field.
The journey is just getting started.
