Official North Korean statement on S launch failure is unique. To me it represents a step forward in that acknowledging failure is a sign of maturity of the program. "Ad astra per aspera." The extra mile would have been releasing of visual documentation from the launch.

There's a press conference being held by @ispace_inc right now regarding the landing failure of HAKUTO-R Mission 1. As you can see from the 2nd picture, there was a huge error in the measured altitude from the real figure during terminal descent. xitter.cf/ohnuki_tsuyoshi/status…

Previously unseen footage from an SD card, recovered from one of the destroyed @davidgojr #Hoop2 cams. Really shows how the debris started with the 2nd wave... youtube.com/watch?v=Dzht0HSY…

We did it. We have officially achieved Space. At 8:12am Evolution Space reached the altitude of 408,456 ft (124.5 km) at Mach 5.2. We are now the 9th privately funded US startup to go beyond the Kármán line. #EvolutionSpace #SpaceLaunch #Rocket #Space #Kármánline

This is what it looks like when an Electron 1st stage re enters Earth from space (the wall) on its way to splash down. The engines are not running, it’s the heat shield just doing it’s job.
