Couldn’t ask for a better duo than Babydog and @JimJustice_WV to help us kick off Link:NYC on October 29th!!
I know Babydog is a tough act to follow, but we’ve got a pretty historic lineup for @chainlink’s Link:NYC on October 29th 🐾

gold has crossed borders for centuries. its tokenized version shouldn’t stop at a blockchain boundary. GoldZip is integrating Chainlink CCIP with Midas for Hong Kong Gold Exchange-backed XGZ. the asset is familiar. the infrastructure is moving forward.

Chainlink keeps pumping out new products that all the institutions need. They are literally being told "We need this solved" and Chainlink leans into the fact it holds all the marbles (data + interop + orchestration + more) to make it happen.
Collateral stays with the custodian. When an institution deposits collateral with their qualified custodian, the custody balance is published onchain via Chainlink Proof of Reserve, providing a verifiable onchain record of collateral anyone can verify.
Collateral is represented onchain. A transfer-restricted receipt token representing the assets held in custody is then posted to the onchain lending market. Its supply reflects the assets held in custody and carries no claim on the underlying assets outside the lending integration.
Clients borrow directly. Assets move from the lending market to the borrower in a single transaction. Every borrow, repayment, and interest accrual is recorded in the custodian's records automatically.
Both systems priced from the same source. The lending market reads Chainlink Data Feeds onchain, while Chainlink Data Streams deliver identical values directly to the custodian’s offchain systems, so both sides calculate LTV from the same data.
The collateral agent facilitates liquidations. If a loan breaches the defined liquidation threshold, the appointed collateral agent sells through its own process. CustodySync records the committed sale proceeds onchain ensuring the position remains stable while the sale settles, with final settlement executing via a single atomic transaction.
CustodySync combines multiple components of the broader Chainlink platform into a single solution:

Chainlink Just Gave Big Institutions a Safe Way Into DeFi Lending
@Chainlink released a solution called CustodySync.
With this solution, eligible custodians will let institutional customers access the DeFi lending market while keeping assets in custody at all times.
@Anchorage, which runs the country’s first federally chartered digital asset bank, is the official launch partner and its first custodian.
This opportunity is big. The DeFi lending market is $80 billion, while about $700 billion in digital assets under custody represents only 0.5% of total assets under custody.
The new solution helps keep custody and lending systems aligned, so there are no premature or delayed liquidations due to valuation discrepancies in loans.

Big start to a big week for @chainlink! Other institutions are already asking about this offering to help put custodied assets to work in DeFi. This opens the door for a much larger pool of institutional capital to participate in onchain markets. Proud to help make this possible with @Anchorage.
Introducing Chainlink CustodySync, a new solution that lets qualified custodians give their institutional clients access to DeFi lending markets, all while assets remain securely in custody.
With @Anchorage as the official launch partner, together we’re establishing a new standard for institutional DeFi.
CustodySync keeps custody and lending systems in sync across the full lifecycle of a loan:
→ For custodians: faster time to market and lower operational overhead, with custodian-managed controls
→ For lending markets: independent, verifiable data and a consistent risk framework
→ For institutions: passive capital becomes productive capital
More than $80 billion sits in DeFi lending markets. Meanwhile, the roughly $700 billion in digital assets under custody is less than 0.5% of all $250 trillion in traditional assets under custody. The opportunity to connect traditional institutional capital to onchain finance remains vast.
Large institutions have lacked a secure way of accessing these markets. Regulations require many of them to keep their digital assets with a qualified custodian, a firm that meets specific requirements for holding assets on behalf of clients, and custody systems were never built for DeFi. Even when custody and lending systems are connected, inconsistent loan valuations can trigger premature liquidation or delayed liquidations, exposing borrowers and lenders to significant financial risk.
@Anchorage, home to the first federally chartered digital asset bank in the U.S., is the first qualified custodian to adopt CustodySync, connecting its institutional clients to DeFi lending markets while their assets remain in regulated custody.
Institutional capital no longer has to choose between the security of custody and the liquidity of DeFi.
With Chainlink, it gets both.
A fund token that trades on several blockchains is hard to lend against if each chain shows a different price for it.
Tokenized funds need one authoritative net asset value that every chain can read, and DTCC has already tested how to deliver it. In its Smart NAV pilot, published in May 2024, DTCC took the fund price and rate data it already distributes through its Mutual Fund Profile Service and sent it across blockchains using Chainlink CCIP. Ten firms took part, among them JPMorgan, BNY Mellon, State Street and Franklin Templeton. DTCC stayed the source and governor of the data, CCIP carried it across chains, and clients could pull historical prices without manual recordkeeping. That split suits institutions, because the incumbent keeps authority over the number and Chainlink carries it everywhere it is needed. Each new fund that moves onchain adds demand for that distribution layer.

A market rule protects investors only if it is enforced at the moment an asset changes hands, and onchain that moment happens inside software.
US regulators are now writing rules for that software. On October 5 the CFTC started its first round of crypto market rules with an advance notice on Regulation CTX and Regulation CAM, and its questions go down to the infrastructure layer, asking which tools such as pricing oracles a crypto exchange should be allowed to use and whether oracle failures belong in its core principles. Where the notice describes blockchains delivering prices to market participants, it cites the Chainlink 2.0 whitepaper. Chainlink is building the enforcement side too. Its Automated Compliance Engine enforces identity and sanctions rules while a transaction executes. ACE has been available on mainnet in private beta since May, and Hong Kong's Tokenized Securities Framework has selected it alongside CCIP. Once regulators define what a compliant onchain market needs, the oracle and compliance layers in that definition are ones Chainlink has already built.
CFTC Chairman Michael Selig opens the Link:NYC program, and Sergey Nazarov sits on the Innovation Advisory Committee that Selig sponsors.

REMINDER: Head of Strategy at SWIFT Jonathan Erhenfeld Solé Will Talk About The Convergence between Tradfi And Defi At $LINK:NYC
In this panel they will talk about how traditional systems will continue to operate in parallel with emerging Blockchain systems and how they will be Interoperable with each other!
I think they will share a lot more info on the partnership between @swiftcommunity and @chainlink and how CCIP allows institutions to use their current systems to execute Blockchain transactions.
Looking forward to $LINK:NYC
Before a bank can buy a tokenized fund, it usually needs new wallets, key management and a direct connection to a blockchain, and most banks will not rebuild their systems to get there.
Chainlink's answer is to start from the message the bank already sends. In a 2024 pilot under Singapore's Project Guardian, Swift, UBS Asset Management and Chainlink settled tokenized fund subscriptions and redemptions over Swift's existing fiat payment rails. In a follow-up pilot announced in September 2025, ISO 20022 messages sent through Swift reached the Chainlink Runtime Environment, which then ran the subscription and redemption of a UBS Tokenize fund contract onchain. On the bank's side, the instruction was a standard Swift message. Swift links more than 11,500 institutions, so if this model reaches production, Chainlink gets a distribution channel that size without asking a single bank to replace its systems.
Swift's Head of Strategy, Jon Ehrenfeld Solé, speaks at Link:NYC on how Swift's network is adopting digital assets.
Catch it live on Chainlink's official channels on October 29, starting 9:45 AM ET (21:45 Taipei). chain.link/events/linknyc

Collateral is how markets protect themselves from losses, and moving it still means checking eligibility, valuing assets and confirming delivery across custodians and counterparties, with a lot of manual reconciliation.
DTCC wants to replace that with one shared platform. Its depository, DTC, custodies more than $114 trillion in securities, and in May DTCC announced that its Collateral AppChain will use the Chainlink Runtime Environment and Chainlink's data standard for eligibility, valuation, margining and settlement, around the clock and across blockchains. DTCC expects it to go live in Q4 2026. The AppChain is built as common infrastructure for collateral providers, receivers, managers, triparty agents and custodians, so a firm that joins gets Chainlink as part of the platform it signs up for. Once the AppChain is live, one decision at the depository puts Chainlink inside the collateral workflow of every participant that follows.
