Rev doesn't claim to be a woman, and I'm going to guess that Rev doesn't get added to female only group chats or Dms with the assumption he is a woman where women are talking about women things believe to be in a female only space It ain't the same dawg, Momma Ocho uses a female model and there isn't a problem cuz he tells people he's a dude
(Clip 1) First Rev attempts to dodge addressing the controversy. (Clip 2) Then Rev makes a dismissive comment: "...when a biological man presents themselves as a woman and joins in on private spaces for women only while preaching against that sort of thing that is bad." Does this include Rev himself? 🤔 He has effectively condoned his wife's behavior while arguing that he himself shouldn't be in 'the space'.

People don't want original black characters? That's just not true. Original concepts take time, work and consistency to catch on. Even Superman and Batman took decades to become part of the culture.

It’s Dirty Deeds Tuesday! They’re not heroes. They’re not exactly villains, either. They’re just a crew trying to survive the galaxy, make some credits, and maybe cause a little trouble along the way. Get Dirty Deeds on Amazon at the link below.

Just caught Wildwood and to preface I have not read the book This movie is visually and technically stunning! I loved a lot of the aesthetic of this movie and sequences! The humor was great at times with some beautiful puns and subtle jokes and at other times it was a bit over the top, played out, and slightly annoying. The set up is very intriguing so that helped me to look past the initial off-putting nature of almost every character The movie starts almost Spirited away-like then becomes essentially Narnia. I have been calling it the Pagan, The witch, and the wardrobe lol This was a much longer movie than I had anticipated especially for being claymation and I started to really feel it towards the end I think they could have cut a lot of the montages towards the end but I know why they didn't (we'll get to that in a minute) The final battle (whilst strategically devoid of IQ on the villians end) was BRUTAL and beautiful And the music was spectacular! It felt whoever did the score actually had a vision in mind and executed it brilliantly Now for the downsides The story is about an 8-9 if executed just slightly better and there are sections that don't hold up to scrutiny but the big thing is it gets bogged down by the inserts of modern day social messages that were shoe horned into the montages There is no real moral to the story (It will attempt to say holding on for too long is bad but then immediately follow that up with Im glad you didnt let this go), the character arcs that were present were real shallow The tone of maturity fluctuates in the blink of an eye. A bit too mature at times and a bit too childish other times which can work but didn't land with me in this film I think If this had a few more passes at the script it would be my top movie of the year but it just fell short in too many places; however, it did make me interested in checking out the book! 7.5/10

Just caught Whalefall and it was decent It's not something I would watch again, Austin Abrams has been getting a lot of work lately lol And He did a very good job portraying some of the hopelessness of being in a creature far stronger than you I appreciate their attempt at making this story deeper than just a man caught in a whale but for me it didn't really land but I think it was a decent attempt The movie was far more brutal than I was expecting and had me feeling a bit squeamish at times The cinematography wasn't anything special although it was rather well lit for being inside of a whale lol There were moments of unnecessary Exposition and the message they were trying to get across was essentially "Even if your family is toxic forgive and forget because atleast they were trying" is not one I fuck with personally There is a sequence that started off very cool and got super goofy when the whale dives deeper into the ocean that pulled me out of the original vibe of the movie All in all this is not a disaster with a major flaw but a mid movie that suffers a death of a thousand cuts 3.5/10
