I don’t understand why people sometimes reduce us horror fans to the idea that we only watch “slashers”or that slashers are the only form of horror that exists. In reality, it’s just one subgenre among many; sometimes, people even boil our interests down to simply “liking to watch people kill others for fun.” Horror goes far beyond that. It’s the feeling you get in a dream, or while traveling, or out in space. Horror manifests in many different ways, and there are so many subgenres out there for people to discover.
