The league of talents remain. #LOSC’s Academy seemingly keeps on delivering, with Soriba Diaoune looking excellent and fearless in 🇪🇺 before being lively against Lens, perhaps offering a solution to Lille’s problematic LW spot so far. And don’t forget 18yo Mariba Goffi at RB too.
Great insight into #LOSC, a club that’s been doing nearly everything right on and off the pitch since Olivier Letang took over in 2020. Their Academy is thriving again after lean years, they’re investing in their stadium & have a young manager in Davide Ancelotti.
I went behind the scenes at Lille to explore the academy that has produced talents like Bouaddi - and a new era under Davide Ancelotti
Includes interviews with Ancelotti, president Letang & Nabil Bentaleb on his return after suffering a cardiac arrest

The fact we never get tired of seeing these clips (even though we’ve seen them countless times and know them by heart) is why we decided to do our Z Files series on ZZ’s most iconic 🇫🇷 games.
🚨THE Z FILES: EPISODE 2🚨
We continue our watch of iconic Zidane games for 🇫🇷. Up next: a wonderful Euro 2000 semi-final against Figo’s 🇵🇹. Abel Xavier. And, perhaps, the greatest touch of all time.

4–0 up. Cruising. Then… Marseille happened 😬
Three late goals conceded, last-gasp penalty controversy and a furious Genesio.
Plus: Thauvin for France? 🇫🇷
Our Ligue 1 Review with @mattspiro, @LeClassiquePod & @Jon_LeGossip 🔥🔥

3 wins in a row in #Ligue1 for Lens, led by the indefatigable Florian Thauvin and a rejuvenated Thorgan Hazard. Yannick Cahuzac, who took over after Dino Toppmoller’s shock early exit, is on a good early run. As for #PFC, a missed early opportunity to stamp a claim on a 🇪🇺 spot?
So many wonderful players on show tonight in one of the best games of the season. But my goodness has Fabian Ruiz had himself a hell of a game. He’s been everywhere; his physicality in midfield is such an asset for PSG. And just what a smart player. #PSGBAR
Always, always watch Ligue 1 if you want to find great talent. #PSGBarça
9. The talent. #Ligue1 dubs itself the "league of talents" and (imho) rightly so. Look out for many, many surprising youngsters ready to burst onto the scene (⬇️). Our favourites? Lukeba, Enzo Le Fee and Desire Doue. And hoping for Warren Zaire-Emery

He is excellent and I’m a big fan of Truffert. I think people are going to start talking a lot more about Désiré Doué too; still 17 (18 in June) & has played a good amount recently. Versatile but impressive going forward & another product from one of 🇫🇷’s best academies!
Plenty to like in #Ligue1 this season:
🏆5 teams leading the pack on 14pts
⭐️New (Sinayoko) and old (Thauvin, Giroud) stars showing their ability
⚽️Plenty of (spectacular) goals.
Always a joy to join @mattspiro & @Jon_LeGossip to discuss this on @FrenchFootShow ⬇️
Eight changes. Another PSG win. Ligue 1 too easy? Strasbourg (or anyone who saw the game) might have something to say 👀
Plus: Paris FC’s 7-goal thriller, sensational Sinayoko, Marseille stir & Lyon go top 🔥🔥

We saw it in Ligue 1 first and we’re not exactly surprised. Still, what a game Ayyoub Bouaddi is having. #MCIPSG

🚨THE Z FILES: EPISODE 1🚨
With Zinedine Zidane (finally?) managing Les Bleus, we take the opportunity to go back in time and look at the maestro’s iconic games for 🇫🇷. We start, of course, with the 1998 final.

Strong sense of déjà vu with RDZ and the expensive mid-season trips to Rome to reinforce camaraderie. Interesting when there’s always clearly been one common denominator to the underlying chaos (though, to be fair to RDZ too, Marseille is a special place for that).
Exc: Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi schedules early-season team bonding trip to Marbella. Squad travel following today’s clash against Man Utd. Team to prepare for Coventry fixture in Spain but trip also viewed as chance for new-look squad to connect. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…
🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: MARSEILLE🚨
We had to finish with the inimitable #OM. The Longoria-Benatia-De Zerbi triumvirate imploded and Genesio & Lorenzi are now asking for patience. Will fans stay on side? #Ligue1

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: LORIENT🚨
Our penultimate episode takes us back to Brittany & the wonderfully-named Merlus of Lorient. With Pantaloni gone and Dujeux at the helm, can they build on last season’s success?

A brave defeat at the Velodrome for #OM, with the players fighting hard for Genesio. If this is to be a new OM, then the reaction around the club needs to take into account the difficult early schedule. October with games vs Troyes, Angers & Le Havre will be telling. #OMPSG
ZZ reveals his first squad. 5 newcomers, including two Ligue 1 players in GK Guillaume Restes and striker Esteban Lepaul. An exciting squad with a sense of renewal and meritocracy. #FFF
🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: BREST🚨
We go back to Brittany to take a look at the Stade Brestois, pay homage to the sadly departed Eric Roy and laud the club’s stability & intriguing transfer window. #SB29
