Kasper Hjulmand would be the dream pick for the Scotland job but from "what I understand" seems unlikely. Been a while since I got to write that...

I'm absolutely **not** doing all the mental arithmetic and permutations trying to work out how I could get back to the US for Scotland in the round of 32 within my credit card limit a day after getting home from Boston

When I was but a lowly STV trainee this man was incredibly nice from day one, which in hindsight set an unreasonably high standard for what to expect from TV. What a career.

If anyone wants to sell me two World Cup tickets to Scotland v Haiti on June 13th (or knows someone who wants to sell them) hit me up with a DM. 30 years I've been waiting, you know you want to...

Also feel free to RT that first post if you're feeling kind... reach seems to be about 0.1 people on my account these days

Alright just spent stupid money on flights to Boston because I can't pass on the chance to see Scotland at a World Cup after 30 years of waiting. Anybody else? (If any of you even see these posts anymore...)

Taking a punt on that location paid of. Now just to get tickets to the game v Haiti...donations welcome.

Canny stop thinking about freezing cold nights at Hampden. Faddy's goal v France then the comedown v Italy. Celebrating Faddy's goal v Macedonia in a sea of bodies then the miserable walk to toon after Holland. Optimistically booking Russia and ending up with Iran v Morocco...

Started to think the memory of 98, seemingly harder to hold onto by the day, would be the last. Think most of us forgot what this feels like. Some never even had the chance. Mental. Looking forward to making some bad financial decisions and great life decisions.

Fucking Scotland man. I've been lucky enough to get around a bit and live a few different places, and there's honestly nothing like it. Without suffering you cant understand this. Here we fucking go

#Bajen

Sven-Göran Eriksson won a Scudetto with Lazio and a European trophy with fucking IFK Göteborg and I've just read that "arguably his greatest moment as a manager" was winning a World Cup qualifier with England...

Winning a European trophy with a Scandinavian club is a remarkable achievement. So remarkable no other club has done it to this day, four decades on. Then you realise he did it with semi amateurs. RIP

Just occurred to me that Girona signing Miovski is the culmination of about 10 years looking at the Scottish market as a potential source of talent. Way back in 2014 got asked for an assessment of a striker playing there who they had the option to sign. Long term work pays off

Was in the time Quique Cárcel came on board as sporting director. There's a lot of people involved but what a clear example of someone having a transformative impact on how a club operates
