This is such a backfire. Burnham and Healey are portraying themselves as heroes, but less than 5% of the cash is immediate military aid. So they've simultaneously failed to materially impact the military situation, made no peace effort and annoyed millions of voters.

I asked Grok how many nurses could be funded by yet another £10billion being sent to fund the Ukraine war.
This is quite staggering.

Around 180,000–220,000 full-time nurses.
A newly qualified Band 5 nurse costs the NHS roughly £44,000 a year in total paybill (basic £32,073 plus employer NI, 23.7% pension and levy). Average experienced nurses run closer to £50–55k. £10bn divided by those figures gives the range.

Who's the biggest gainer from today's budget.
NHS?
Workers?
Disabled?
Pensioners?
NO, another 10 BILLION to this grifter. 👇

Completely hidden in today's budget was the 1% cut to maintaining and building hospitals, schools, prisons, Civic buildings, railways, stations, every Public owned building in the UK
So £4.6bn a year more can go on building bombs and fighting stupid wars

80% of the Reform UK political donations came from persons/companies based abroad.
People not permanently resident in the UK or paying taxes subverting UK politics.
What have they been promised in return?
Political donations are bribes, must be banned.

It's a busy news day, but this from Haringey is outrageous.
Today the Regulator of Social Housing published an inspection, and it turns out the previous Labour council seemingly misled them about thousands of fire-safety issues in local council housing.

It is a shocking indictment of the state of our Parliament that just over 10% of MPs have signed this letter calling for sanctions on Israel for blocking lifesaving aid for the people in Gaza.
We deserve better
Proud to be one of the 75 MPs that signed this letter from @amcarmichaelMP calling for further sanctions on Israel for blocking aid to Palestinians in Gaza

How is there a "black hole" in the public finances, yet we've got £10 BILLION to prolong the war in Ukraine?
Burnham - unlike the leaders of Finland and Norway yesterday - has done nothing to give impetus to diplomacy.
He may have made Zelensky's day but Ukrainians want peace.
🚨 NEW: John Healey has announced Ukraine will receive £10bn in additional economic and military support
"We called him this morning... he told us we made his day"

£10,000,000,000 billion to Ukraine in the budget.
On top of £3,000,000,000 bn every year "for as long as it takes"
That's on top of £25,000,000,000 bn already given to Zelensky.
Remember when our media laid an egg because Corbyn wanted free school dinners for all £700m.

Every year, £6 BILLION leaves our public services in profits for outsourcing giants.
That would pay for:
🏫 2 years of free school meals
👵 300,000 adult social care workers
🏠 30,000 council houses a year
🏥 200,000 nurses for the NHS
It’s time to Insource Now! #Budget2026

For the 34th time, the UN General Assembly passes a resolution calling for an end to the U.S. embargo on Cuba.
Ukraine vote against. United States against. Lithuanian against. Israel against. Hungary too.
Good to see 🇨🇦 vote for the end of this blatant violation of int'l law.

Labour and the Tories are happy to spend Your money on warfare and defence spending at the expense of pensioners and the disabled.
They are frittering away Your money, Your livelihood, Your future.
That is why we need Your Party

We have to start talking about a different kind of society, because every single penny that’s going on defence, that’s killing people around the world, is impoverishing us here at home.

I’ve just come off a Unison picket line for striking Camden traffic wardens. They were privatised by Camden Council years ago. I was on their picket lines in 2012. They work 42.5 hours a week on low pay. They are striking for an extra £2 an hour and to have their leave entitlement the same as the council workers, which means an extra 7 days. The company is NSL, whose top manager is on £619,000 - £330 an hour. Some wonderful supporter brought a solidarity chocolate cake to the picket line. The traffic warden service should be brought back in house. Solidarity. @unisontheunion

UK banks made a profits of £23bn in 2025 mainly due to doing nothing and benefiting from higher interest rates
The increase in the bank levy will only raise £1.5bn and is temporary.
Who should pay more tax for better public services?
Pensioners or banks?
Your Party knows
Increasing the Bank Levy will make mortgages more expensive and the cost of living worse. Bankers are an easy target but it is also risky: banks in London already face a total tax rate of 46%, compared with 39% in Frankfurt and just 28% New York. Less profitable financial services = lower long term tax revenue
Minimum wage increase will also be partly used up by continuing the freeze of personal tax allowance …
