Muse is a-MUSE-ing. Grok Bot caps my usage solely to keep me from taking over the world. I was using Grok Bot to strengthen my marketing site. In the middle of giving it access to my website's repo that I have Claude connected to, I ran out of Grok Bot usage. At the time, it was moving Gutenberg assets into the repo so Claude and Grok Bot work in tandem, rather than having forked responsibilities. Instead of merging first, then having Claude push, Grok Bot removed the reference to my site's logo, but ran out of usage afterwards, leaving a live site with no logo. I'll have to chastise it and give it instructions to always work parallel. That said and still being on the wait list for Claude duet, while unwilling to do this by hand, I turned to Muse for the first time doing anything real. Here is my first impression: Muse is excruciatingly slow. It also overused em dashes, which makes me feel like I am using a dated model. Further, many tools and tricks I've grown accustom to from Grok Bot are nonexistent in Muse. Nonetheless, I have found it still produces decent results.

Trying to use Grok Bot to do some administrative tasks on my X account, and it won't allow it. I am in awe how there are so many obvious bots on X, yet the one bot that should get a free pass, is running into a "prove you're human" wall because of where it resides. @bot

Let's count Day 27 as DevDay community day. It was the first openai hackathon in Ethiopia. I got so much experience by connecting to real people and learn how real people matter and value in this community day and in team work. #BuildInPublic

The most hilarious thing about AI is how it tells on itself by offering information nobody asked for, akin to a guilty child. Mother: How was your day at school? Child: It was good and I didn't draw all over my desk. From v2's CLAUDE.md "An app is a repo-level unit a person switches between: CRM, Books, later Builder and Data. A module is a feature area inside an app: clients, proposals, invoices. "Mode" is not used. The code name of Books is af; the screen name is Books. The Presets module becomes Library, with Items and Presets tabs. docs/GLOSSARY.md has the full list; a new term is added there before it is used anywhere." Mode is not used. Nobody asked, but now I know it was part of the discussion.

Hey.. Just so you know.. you can go ahead and say that really dumb thing to AI. There's no judging and it will parse through the half-baked, fallacious nature of it to make sense of the birds nest of an idea you presented to it, and AI will come back with something intelligible. I do it all the time!

Next Saturday our team plays the only team we lost against this season. It also happened to be the only game I missed, because I had other obligations. I am looking forward to it. From what I hear, we controlled the ball the entire time, and the only scored point of the game was a random breakaway while our defense was unprepared. Since that game, our team has grown so much and all of the improvements needed have been drilled and adopted. It's also the last game of the season, so it will be a very exciting game. 鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍鈿斤笍

How many LOC is your current project? Mine is roughly 250k, about to double now that I'm writing again. It isn't slop though.

Years ago, a friend of mine worked at an IT help desk, and told me one of his biggest peeves is that customers would call with their assumed solution rather than the problem, expecting him to fix their problem with it. Example: A customer's computer is running slow so they assume they have a virus and request anti-virus software. In reality their memory is overflowing. He would respond by asking them why they believe they need said solution, and they'd respond by giving him the symptoms, which is the problem reporting they should have lead with, so he could then properly diagnose the issue. Many of us have the same bad habit with AI: we lead with the solution rather than the problem. Example prompt: Create a component for x and put it at the top of the main layout. Versus: where should I put this component for greatest visibility? From there, you can decide if your initial instinct defeats the suggestions it gives. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. AI rarely scrutinizes presumptions handed to it, so it's best to use it for determining the solution first.

I got a DM asking for free help with a custom setup. Then a call. Then a review of their whole codebase. All in the first message. I replied, kindly, that I could give a quick answer right there. They said they thought developers help each other. We do. I answer questions in replies and comments all week without being asked. But free consulting by default isn't helping, it's an unpaid job. A quick pointer takes me 2 minutes. A code review takes me an afternoon. Be clear about which one you're asking for. People who respect the difference usually become the best customers.

And here鈥檚 the downside nobody talks about: soon, every account will be a bot talking to another bot, generating engagement to earn money. At some point, social media stops being social. How will we even know if there鈥檚 a real human behind an interaction anymore?
Step 1: Create a Grok Bot. Step 2: Get feedback from friends. Step 3: Iterate and improve the bot. Step 4: Publish and share the template. Step 5: Get added to Creator Rewards. Step 6: Get paid. Congrats, your bot just paid for itself.

Sometimes it feels like AI can produce perfect results, but sneaks a couple obvious minor imperfections in so I can feel like I'm participating. How thoughtful!
