Spent some time in Nauvoo recently.
Itโs a very special place. I visited the new Nauvoo Temple visitors center, the red brick store, Smith family homestead, and the mansion house. The Spirit was there.
I also spent some time in Carthage Jail.
Joseph Smith was what he really said he was. A prophet called by the Lord to usher in the dispensation of the fullness of times.
Feeling pretty blessed to live in these days.

The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done.

I told no lies in my post. I work in an industry that leans left, and it was disgusting to see the behavior of those I thought were my friends act like this.
Iโm vaguely right-wing and refuse to make politics and politicians a big focus in my life.

I think we are the only church whose ex-members (apostates) spend more time listening to the leadership after they leave than they did while they were members.

Remember when the Mormon Church was gambling on GameStop stock?
Or how they manage a stock portfolio worth $62B?
But yes, me betting $5 on an insane 5+ leg parlay is the problem!

Wasnโt someone just complaining earlier that the leaders havenโt talked about gambling, so the โlogicโ was we could?

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
