A phenomenal effort by everyone involved in our game, at every level, To have grown core club participation by 30% in 3 seasons is nothing short of exceptional. More to do, as ever, and more to come, but for now, an enormous thank you to you all. ❤️🏏

India and the UK are connected by a shared passion for cricket. At Chequers, PM Keir Starmer and I interacted with players from Buckinghamshire Street Cricket Hubs. Great to see sport fostering people-to-people ties between our nations. Also gave my young friends a bat signed by the Indian cricket team which won the T20 World Cup. @Keir_Starmer

An outstanding effort by all our volunteers & cricket’s paid workforce, incl a number of pro players. Without volunteers to make the magic happen in clubs and communities every week, we have no sport. Wishing everyone the best possible summer ❤️🏏 @ToyotaUK #GetSetWeekend

My sincerest thanks to all paid staff at ECB & in our network of national & local partners, but most of all, to every volunteer who commits themselves to growing cricket’s reach, and delivering the warmest welcome and most positive experience. Without you, we have no sport ❤️🏏

"In just 12 months, we’ve had 25% growth in the number of women’s teams and 21% growth in girls’ teams. All of this meant we could celebrate 1,000 new women’s and girls’ teams in 2024." Leshia Hawkins, MD (Recreational Game) at the ECB, reflects on a year of continued growth.

It’s back to school for @benstokes38 - we took the Men’s Test Captain to an inner city Newcastle state school where children are enjoying free cricket sessions as part of our expanded schools work with @Chance2Shine. See the impact it’s had... @Hawthorn_PS @NCB_Cricket

I recently got to sit down with @SternWords for a piece in the @englandcricket Matchday programme. Fully acknowledging I’m *slightly* less interesting than the players also featured but I hope a positive read for those engaged in the recreational game across England & Wales ❤️🏏
