Joao Pedro going down in price tonight annoyingly affects my sell value. Jackson going up too… Can I interest anyone in Evanilson or Barry? 😆

Problem with hiding Joao Pedro on the bench is losing value. Need to consider Isak as well but don’t think that’ll work for me as I’ll have to sell someone who’s not really a massive issue.

Most obvious move is the one everyone will be doing, Joao Pedro to Jackson. If I had 1 FT I’d do that I think, and may well do it anyway. There are other options though. Sangare to Tavernier and bench Joao Pedro for 2 weeks, bearing in mind he also has the international break for recovery before GW11. Or sell Joao Pedro to someone £6.4m or below and do Calafiori to Gabriel IF Calafiori is also ruled out as a long term move. If I want to move back to Joao Pedro later there’s Mbeumo and palmer downgrade options if I wanted to hold Gabriel. I can do the Gabriel move with Jackson but I’d have to downgrade Sangare and use my last FT.

BIG NEWS! That rules Joao Pedro out until after the break. Now things get interesting. So many options with that cash. Won’t rule out keeping either.

If I still owned Gvardiol I’d be starting him against Brighton in GW9. One of the few defenders with genuine attacking threat. Hes still somewhat of a headache generally, but if you’re prepared to assess it week by week he’s a hold for 9 imo.

Once played Harry Kane against Chelsea for a brace when he only cost £5.0m. Lots of people benched him. I knew he’d be a future Ballon d'Or winner. What a guy.

Most of my FPL planning right now is trying to figure out when and how I get Gabriel. Amazing what a 17 pointer can do 😆 Maybe I just sell Calafiori to someone cheaper and pretend Gabriel doesn’t exist for a while 😬 (If Calafiori is out of course).

Think Gameweek 8 might shake things up a bit. Gabriel getting a 17 pointer in particular is really helpful for the game. Konsa and Calafiori has been solid, but maybe not for much longer. “Money doesn’t matter at the moment” - but I wonder how easily people can get Gabriel without hits for example. Not that he’s essential of course, but might be handy post international break. Joao Pedro being out for a while would leave multiple options open. Plenty of good cheap mids. Maybe the template cracks will get bigger. Just a shame all the premiums bar Haaland are rubbish - although Isak has 6 goals!

Not a great week - 42 points! Probably should have captained Haaland 😁 3 FTs to fix a few things if needed GW9. For now it’s time to chill and wait for more info.
