My article on creative praxis mirroring spiritual practice is live! It was great to explore Marion, Tolkien, L’engle, @GilbertLiz, and @jk_rowling in this pneumatological approach.
Thanks to @transpositions for taking this on:

While I’ve been reticent to be here, I’ve been at conferences. This week I wore an outfit each day inspired by Women They Can’t Keep Down. It’s been a great practice for helping my anxiety as I have had to re-enter some evangelical spaces this fall.
Here’s the line up:
To the person who trolled a recent webinar accusing my employer of always trying to sell something...yes. Yes that's kind of the whole situation.
Who’s headed to San Antonio for the theological conventions in November? I’d love to say hey! Or howdy?
The struggle of summer: my apartment is a comfortable temperature but I have little food, @kmjoslin29's place is roasting but he has food. Starve in comfort or feast in a sauna?
Boundaries like these are so necessary to retain one’s humanity in a digital space. I’m enjoying reading what folks do to care for themselves and their followers and would love to know your thoughts!

(Why do I feel like this advice is more relevant with each passing year?)
After a year of limited speaking engagements, I have just wrapped a Q&A with a fabulous bunch of authors. I lead a panel tomorrow with novelists. I am rusty, but excited!
I compared and the yoga pants I wore for work yesterday fit the same as the dress trousers I wore to the office today. (Spandex blend is comfortable even if I have to go bask in the fluorescents against my will.) No one gets an opinion on either my coffee shop or office wear.
Stumbled on the YouTube wedding playlist I curated when I was 20. Shared it with @kmjoslin29. He is unimpressed.
(I mean, I am too—but I can still feign insult.)
Why does the gram give me ads for wedding venues in Texas? Of all the people to pitch all the destinations…I’m very lost.
