Bernie Sanders deserves an enormous amount of gratitude and respect. At 85 years old, he reportedly attended 58 rallies during the midterm campaign, continuing to travel across the country and fight for the candidates and causes he believes in. His dedication has been remarkable.

File this under “THINGS TRUMP WILL NEVER HAVE” — a gas station honoring him in a foreign country 🇮🇪❤️🇺🇸 It's called Barack Obama Plaza, and it sits on the M7 motorway in the tiny village of Moneygall, Ireland! Obama's third great-grandfather, a shoemaker named Falmouth Kearney, was born in Moneygall betore emigrating to the U.S. on a Potato Famine-era ship in 1850. The president actually visited the village himself in 2011 — touring what was left of his ancestor's home and stopping for a pint of Guinness. He told the crowd, “My name is Barack Obama, of the Moneygall O'bamas... I've come home to find the apostrophe that we lost somewhere along the way." 😂 The €7 million plaza opened in 2014 with a full visitor center, a mini-museum on Irish-American history, and life-sized bronze statues of Barack and Michelle Obama that tour buses stop for photos at. It's a real, functioning gas station too, with a Supermac's, Papa John's, Bewley's coffee and more, and it actually won "Best Motorway Service Station" in Ireland back in 2019 🏆 An award-winning travel plaza that’s won awards. Bet this keeps the current guy up at night 😉
