18-year-old Dash Daniels is building 2027 NBA Draft momentum with strong early-season NBL play. The 6’6” Australian guard posted 18 PTS, 4 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, and 1 BLK in South East Melbourne’s win over Adelaide, shooting 3-of-7 from deep. Daniels showed encouraging signs of offensive growth, punishing an under with a pull-up jumper, sticking a catch-and-shoot corner three, and showcasing pace, craft, footwork, and finishing touch attacking the basket. His well-established defensive instincts and length were on full display, digging smartly at the nail for a steal and riding a driver’s hip to bait a pin block at the basket. Daniels is attempting 4.6 threes per game at a 36.6% clip this season, a significant volume uptick for a prospect who has faced questions about his perimeter shooting. If his improved shooting proves sustainable, his draft stock could rise considerably.
