Last week we finished our 2nd knowledge unit on the Human Body in @Amplify CKLA. The kids loved working in groups to build and label diagrams of the body systems we learned about. @FES_Mustangs
My students were so excited to take home the anchor charts we’ve made this year. Some even took two or three! #1stgrademagic @FES_Mustangs
One year ago we found out schools would be closing, though at the time we didn’t know for how long.
Today we celebrated 120 days of in person learning! These @FES_Mustangs are #StrongerTogether!

Look at all the questions my @FES_Mustangs 1st grade students were able to generate based on just two photos from our Wonders read aloud today! I’m so proud of them. Tomorrow they write their own questions! #myhandistired #gallopforsuccess
As a Friday surprise Ms. Mowery read Skippyjon Jones to our class. This was one of their favorites in Kindergarten and after listening to her enthusiasm while reading it, I can understand why! @FES_Mustangs #SDIRCStrongertogether
This is such a cute idea!
Today we added a cut-out hand to the end of our rulers. Now we can give out contactless high-fives. @hempfield @PADeptofEd
I have such a crazy, wonderful and creative team this year! Can not wait to have our students join us on Monday! #firstgradefun @FES_Mustangs #sdircstrongertogether

One of my favorite parts of the week is when my 1st grade @FES_Mustangs make our Phonics anchor chart. They find examples of the patterns in their reading and writing to add throughout the week. #gallopforsuccess

I had a great time sharing the adventures of The Armadillo from Amarillo with the @FES_Mustangs 1st graders! Thank you @Jjalderton for putting together a wonderful Literacy Week! – at Fellsmere, FL
This Mighty Mustang was so proud of his hard work decomposing numbers! He came up with all of these on his own! @FES_Mustangs #gallop4success #lovethisface
I am amazed at what spectacular word detectives my @FES_Mustangs are already after only 5 weeks! Categorizing words by beginning blends, justifying their groupings and recording words on individual anchor charts. #phonicsismyjam #gallopforsuccess
