Among the recent releases worth checking out: "Shared Forests, Many Peoples" is a short film promoting the Estonian National Museum’s travelling exhibition "Peoples of the Northern Forests", currently on display in Finland. youtu.be/X8MSvR9qHSc?si=jv8-…

#pixelart Hear me out: a medieval Baltic point-and-click adventure set in Revalia, inspired by Estonian history and Finno-Ugric textiles. How does that sound? @dantemendes @retro_dmt @retro_asobi ??

Agentic Discipline 7 is out. The models have changed. A single disciplined agent can now take on big tasks that used to need a swarm-forge harness. Three big tasks, one deep case study, a new twist on Crap/Mutate/Dry, and a look just above the code. cleancoders.com/episode/agen…

I’m making Revalia Obscura, a medieval Baltic point-and-click adventure. Its pixel art draws on Finno-Ugric textile patterns I noticed at the Estonian National Museum. A more playable prototype is taking shape for #Digiloome #2026 #ドット絵 #pixelart alienretro.dev/index.html?po…ㅤ

A way forward
Given that agents still need high level supervision. And given that the human review of code is a bottleneck. And given that the models have gotten good enough that strict deterministic harnesses are suboptimal. Then how should we supervise their output. My current solution is to use an interrogation tool coupled with an agent. The tool displays the structure of the system in a UML-like diagram, color coded with crap and mutation scores. The diagram is dynamic, allowing the user to click on element and drill down through the architecture -- all the way to code. The user can detect structures that need improvement and tell the associated agent to make the appropriate changes. These changes can range from high level architectural changes, to the lowest level code refactorings. The associated agent will make those changes and cause them to be redisplayed. The tool I'm using is custom made for me, but you can point an agent at it and use it as a template to build your own custom tool. It's a work in progress, so don't be surprised if it changes a lot over the next few weeks. But then you probably won't care because by then you'll be deep in customizing it for yourself. And anyway, you can always point an agent back at mine, or someone else's, and integrate improvements into your own. github.com/unclebob/uml-view….

Tell me you've never played a game or made a game without telling me you've never played a game or made a game. People can do this all they want. All the power to them. I don't believe you've made an actual game gamers would enjoy playing, that's the actual hard part.

Was thinking of using a more limited colour palette for my horror game, do you like it? #gamedev #pixelart
