OTD 1996 the RNLB George & Mary Webb arrived in Whitby to begin its career as the port's lifeboat. she served at Whitby until 2023 in which time she was Launched on Service 565 times, saved 28 lives and aided 1008 people. The G&MW is now part of the training fleet at RNLI Poole.

Pwllheli's D-class lifeboat will be on service for limited periods from next week as the station works hard towards the goal of becoming fully operational.
