This article goes on about the @FTC analyzing whether youtube mislead their creators about what content they are allowed to post, only to br later terminated or demonetized.
Like I said before; transparency has become a huge issue in this termination/demonetization story. The policies on youtube's own website do not give clear directions . It's not just "scorned creators" complaining about this.

After the British trawler Caldew was torpedoed by a German U-boat in 1939, a passing Swedish liner rescued the cat Tawny. Tawny was taken to Sweden but quarantine regulations ordered that he be destroyed. However, staff at the British consulate learned of this order and saved Tawny by covering all the costs of keeping him in quarantine for four months. Tawny became a celebrity, receiving fan mail and several offers of a new home. Eventually, he was released and went on to live a happy life with a horse trainer in Gothenburg.
