NYCACC killed Grayson today…this beautiful 7️⃣ month old puppy was surrendered on September 30 and I did his first post four days later…he was not on the At Risk TBK list and went straight to Kill Command three days ago…that process is a Silent Kill….I know many of us loved and fought for this puppy, but they wouldn’t allow him to be re-homed either by rescue or adoption…they Silently Kill when an incident occurs at the pound…a bite or attack…something that management feels is too much of a liability…it really hurts ones heart to think that a beautiful seven month old puppy has no chance, even on a kill command list… Grayson lived with children and other dogs in his home…then he was surrendered to the pound…maybe his grief and betrayal was so intense, I can’t say other than this is a fucked up world when be kill seven month old puppies regardless of their condition…. When I did his first post, I remember thinking that he looked so utterly lost, his sadness was like a tidal wave and his tiny pout pulled at my heart… Oh sweetheart I’m so sorry they stole your shine ✨ those beautiful eyes staring back at me right now while I write this….
