A great wind of change is coming to Nigeria, and the corrupt politicians in power can feel it. They know business won’t be as usual under Peter Obi, and that is why they are fighting him.
They can scheme all they want, but the gospel truth is you can't beat a man who has an indomitable spirit. Peter Obi is coming, and he is coming fast!!!

Until Nigeria’s electoral system becomes credible, until the people’s votes count, and until citizens can vote failed leaders out of office, we will continue to reward corrupt, power-drunk politicians masquerading as leaders.
Credible elections make public office accountable to the people. Without that accountability, impunity thrives.

Nigeria Declares No Active Ebola Cases Amid Questions Over ₦10 Billion Fund
Nigeria reported no active Ebola cases after medically evacuating the index patient, a 42-year-old Swiss citizen, and her husband to Switzerland on October 26, with health teams still monitoring 52 contacts.
President Tinubu had approved the ₦10 billion fund in June 2026 for surveillance, airport screening, and boosting NCDC capacity against Ebola and other threats like upcoming Lassa fever season.
NCDC Director-General Jide Idris explained the money covers broader disease control, but online reactions mix relief with demands for details on its use, including claims of purchases like a Toyota Prado.

Atiku will endorse Obi for love of Nigeria
In a free and fair election 🗳️, Peter Obi could emerge as Nigeria’s president-elect before midnight on election day. Win or lose, Obi has already changed Nigeria 🇳🇬 by inspiring a new generation to believe that leadership, accountability, and good governance are possible.
Politics demands humility, not bombastic proclamations. Onye ma echi? Who knows tomorrow?
Atiku, the time has come to put Nigeria above personal ambition. True leadership is not just about the desire to lead; it is also about knowing when to make room for a new vision. Step aside and give Peter Obi the opportunity to unite the voices calling for a new Nigeria. Your greatest contribution to the country may not be another presidential contest, but the decision to help a new generation lead.
History remembers not only those who seek power, but also those who know when to make way for progress. Let Obi rise. Let Nigeria win. 🇳🇬

This argument is disingenuous. Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission receives public funding to conduct credible elections.
Citizens and political parties have duties, but shifting INEC’s institutional responsibility onto them is an abdication of responsibility.
Nigerians must remain vigilant, but vigilance cannot replace a competent, impartial and accountable electoral commission.
For 2027, INEC owes Nigerians a free, fair and transparent election—not excuses. @inecnigeria @oagbakoba
Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, just set a clear standard for 2027: any party that is not ready to monitor the elections across Nigeria should stay off the ballot and spare the rest of us the complaints.
This is not theory.
Election rigging thrives where parties refuse to invest in structure, training, and presence. Obi and the NDC have already moved past that stage.
They are building the plans and capacity to watch the process from start to finish and shrink the space for manipulation.
The message is simple. Serious parties prepare to monitor. Parties that will not do the work have no standing to cry foul later.
The time for speeches is ending. The work of protecting the vote has begun.

Attacks on NDC Facilities and Supporter Escalate Nigeria Tensions
On October 13, suspected thugs stormed the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) secretariat in Edo State's Ikpoba-Okha area, destroying property and setting parts ablaze, with no casualties but significant damage shown in online videos. A week earlier on October 10 in Enugu State, violence marred an NDC governorship campaign launch near Akanu Ibiam International Airport, where 43-year-old bus driver Christopher Nworie was shot in the chest and died the next day after surgery. NDC blames intimidation linked to ruling APC amid unverified allegations, while Enugu officials initially disputed the death but Governor Peter Mbah condemned the attacks and called for investigation; the incidents raise fears of rising political violence threatening democratic participation.

ARISE NEWS RESPONSE TO INEC LAGOS STATEMENT
Arise News has received a press statement from INEC Lagos State categorically denying our report aired this morning on What's Trending and stating that the display of the Register of Voters was conducted across all two hundred and forty-five registration areas in Lagos State including Alimosho and Shomolu. We take note of INEC's response and we respect the commission's right to provide its own account.
However, Arise News stands by its report. Our findings were based on independent on-ground verification not social media posts or unverified claims.
At the time of our confirmation on Tuesday, the INEC portal displayed a message stating there are currently no preliminary registers to display.
In the Alimosho area, our investigation revealed the register was strictly available on request between 9AM and 3PM and residents were only allowed to check for their own names which falls short of the open public display required under Section 19 of the Electoral Act.
Arise News acknowledges that INEC may have since rectified the situation and we welcome that. But the issues we reported were real and the public deserves to know.
We remain committed to responsible accurate and independent journalism and we call on INEC to ensure that every Nigerian in every ward has full and open access to the voters' register as required by law not access by request, access by right!

2027: NDC Sweden demands diaspora inclusion in Obi–Kwankwaso campaign council
Insists October 20 inauguration must usher in party unity, disciplined campaign
The Sweden Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for strong diaspora representation in the proposed Obi–Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign Council, insisting that its October 20 inauguration must mark the beginning of a united national campaign for the 2027 elections.
Chairman of NDC Diaspora Sweden, Pharm. Ikeagwuonwu Chinedu Klinsmann, said Nigerians abroad should be treated as strategic partners in the campaign, given their professional expertise, international networks, technological knowledge, investment capacity and influence on communities back home.
In a statement ahead of the planned inauguration, Klinsmann urged the party’s national leadership to establish a coordinated Diaspora Mobilisation and International Engagement structure covering Europe, North America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
He said diaspora participation should extend beyond remittances to international communication, policy engagement, digital mobilisation, voter education, lawful fundraising, and post-election investment and knowledge transfer.
Describing October 20 as an opportunity to consolidate the party ahead of the polls, Klinsmann said the inauguration must go beyond unveiling campaign officials to usher in “one NDC, one campaign and one mission” focused on rescuing Nigeria and building a productive, secure and prosperous nation.
He argued that electoral victory would depend not on personalities alone but on organisation, message discipline, grassroots mobilisation, policy credibility, technology and effective voter protection.
The NDC chieftain identified production, prudent management of public resources, security, education, healthcare, electricity, employment, investment and accountable governance as critical issues the party must place at the centre of its campaign.
He said presidential candidate Peter Obi must sustain his focus on these issues and offer Nigerians measurable alternatives to the country’s economic and governance challenges.
“Millions of Nigerians are not looking for another politician who will tell them what is wrong with Nigeria. They are looking for a leader who can show them how Nigeria can be fixed,” he said.
Klinsmann also called for reconciliation among party members, warning that internal rivalry, parallel structures and personal interests could undermine the party’s chances in 2027.
He urged the national leadership to integrate new supporters, professionals and young people into the campaign, stressing that competence, rather than proximity to powerful individuals, should determine appointments and responsibilities.
On opposition cooperation, he said any coalition ahead of the election must prioritise national interest over political office-sharing, adding that the ultimate objective should be to unite Nigerians, restore public confidence and move the country from consumption to production.
Drawing from the experiences of Nigerians living abroad, particularly in Sweden, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, Klinsmann said Nigeria needed stronger institutions, accountable leadership and sustained investment in education, healthcare, infrastructure, innovation and human capital.
He urged the NDC to build a formidable polling-unit structure, harness technology, strengthen voter education and election protection, and assign young people meaningful responsibilities.
The diaspora chairman reaffirmed his chapter’s readiness to work with the party’s national leadership, the presidential candidate and other diaspora chapters to build a broad-based campaign.
He said the 2027 election should be a referendum on Nigeria’s direction, marked by a transition from poverty to prosperity, insecurity to stability, institutional weakness to accountable governance, and hopelessness to opportunity.
“October 20 should therefore mark more than the inauguration of a Presidential Campaign Council. Let it mark the beginning of a national movement,” Klinsmann said.
Klinsmann expressed confidence that Obi would sweep the 2027 presidential poll, saying that his candidacy enjoys strong national appeal cutting across religious and ethnic divides.

Peter Obi has also won back for the Igbos a modicum of political dignity, respect and a sense of what is possible. For decades, Igbos were mocked for being unable to produce a candidate from among themselves capable of challenging for the highest office in the land. ikengaonline.com/who-needs-t…
