Last night we welcomed our newest Firefighter to the team; FF Lewis Herdman.
Lewis undertook some practical drills which included 13.5m & 10.5m ladder drills. Hose drills with operation of the pump & some combined pump & ladder drills.
Excellent enthusiasm shown throughout 👏🏻
After dealing with an incident, we got to meet Kyogo the puppy who was wondering what all the fuss was about.
Despite our best efforts, we couldn’t recruit him as a mascot 🐶
Tonight we carried out a simulated “High-rise” maisonette flat fire exercise utilising Falkirk Fire Station’s RFTU building.
2 BA teams were deployed to locate 3 casualties within the risk area.
All 3 casualties were successfully rescued 👍🏻

We have information for those who wish to pay their respects available on our website.
Absolutely devastating news.
All of our thoughts are very much with FF Barry Martin’s family, friends and colleagues 💔
With profound sadness we can confirm that Firefighter Barry Martin has passed away following the serious injuries sustained during a large fire at the former Jenners building in Edinburgh.

Battery operated candles are the safest way to light up spooky things at Halloween. 🎃
If you have naked flames around, ensure they are well away from anything that can burn including costumes that might catch fire.
