At Summit train station talking to residents for the election. Thank you Summit police for patrolling. The window behind us (in the train station) is the NJ Transit police window which now sits empty. #summitpolicearethebest

💸At $50.6 billion this budget represents a 46% increase in state spending since 2018. It's filled with one-time gimmicks and despite claims to the contrary has nothing resembling a tax cut for NJ families.

Part of the fun of campaigning is meeting new people, seeing old friends, and listening to ideas of how everyone wants to keep our community strong. Thank you to the Fridel’s for hosting us! #lovesummit #campaign2021

New Jersey essentially treaded water from our 2019 ranking, but in many individual categories it was not a pretty picture:
Economy (D+), Cost of Living (F), Cost of Doing Business (D), Business Friendliness (D)
NJ was ranked behind NY (22), Penn (23) and Conn (24) – and only placed in Top Ten in one of ten metrics (education) in CNBC rankings.

For 26 years, the tabloid Apple Daily was a thorn in the side of Beijing. This week, after its assets were frozen and editors arrested, it printed its last edition. An intrepid Apple reporter talks to me about the death of Hong Kong’s free press. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
@LisaAllen_NJ The journey of campaigning is an exciting one. Enjoyed door knocking with the next generation of future leaders. #listeninglearninglaughing
