Do you need to be asleep before 10 pm to be alert the next day?
Yes, if you have to wake up at 5 or 6 am to go to work and get your children ready for school.
Do you know being sleepy at 10 pm starts with getting daylight in your eyes outdoors soon after you wake up?
Why? Because the clocks in your body are tuned into your brain’s suprachiasmatic nucleus, and light is what sets it.
Sunlight lets your melatonin levels fall so you can be alert for your day. And it starts the timer for when your melatonin rises in the evening to make you sleepy.
And because melatonin levels respond to light, your lamps and overhead lights have to less bright in the evening for your body to produce melatonin.
That means staring into a bright phone or computer screen can keep you up by blocking melatonin production.
Without enough sleep, the next day you have brain fog and reach for coffee. Keep it up and that fogginess starts to feel normal because you’ve given up on ever feeling clear again.
Even worse, there are so many causes of brain fog, this might be just one of yours.
See my replies for a solution.

Perhaps the reason so many people are holding on to political “activist” identities is that they are afraid to go back to just being them. Just a plain person. @ClubRandom_ @billmaher
This is how I will now ask about Auggie. @ChrisRBarron
Our neighborhood is so committed to traditional trick-or-treating over the "trunk or treat" that they also do a booze map for the adults. In addition to candy for kids, the neighborhood group posts a map of houses giving out mini liquor bottles, shots, beers, etc. I had my first Jello shot ever two years ago on Halloween!

Why yes, I AM playing the Vincent Price role in a stage production of 1959's, "The House on Haunted Hill" in a few weeks at Theater of Dare here on the Outer Banks.
Laughs, scares and plot twists aplenty.

Now that I’ve early voted, I should be able to sign up for a “do not advertise to me and waste your money list”

“As a guy who’s been through the muck, I can tell you Lisa De Pasquale’s The Gen X Handbook for Middle Age nails it. This isn’t some fluffy nostalgia trip; it’s a raw, unfiltered look at a generation that learned to thrive in the chaos, not just survive it. Lisa gets the X vibe—tough, skeptical, and allergic to BS. If you’re Gen X or just want to understand why we’re the way we are and how we can get even better, this book’s your field manual. Respect earned.” -- @terryschappert amzn.to/3Sgh48I
