i enjoy that the things at the winners checkout are items which don’t exist anywhere else on earth and should probably be illegal.

What’s interesting, is that until Mark Carney became Prime Minister of Canada, nobody else said “we’re living in a more dangerous and divided world”.
These are words, deliberately used by Mark Carney, to manipulate Canadians into agreeing with and supporting his own self-serving ambitions.
He’s a professional grifter who knows excels at manipulating the masses.
"A more dangerous and divided world" 🌍
Carney has said it, or a version of it, nearly 100 times in 16 months. Speeches, press releases, X posts, even his mandate letter.
Election night he promised to "put an end to the division and anger of the past."
Since then:
• U.S. trade talks collapsed Aug. 21. 50% tariffs hit about $20B of our goods
• Deficit went from $36.3B to $72B in one year, per the budget watchdog
• 68,000 jobs gone in September. Youth unemployment at 13%
• Groceries up 33% since 2020
He keeps warning us about the world.
Maybe the problem is closer to HOME? 🤦🏻♂️
Repeat it till everyone Repeats it, eh? 🇨🇦

McGill’s law school receives roughly 1,500 applications for just 180 spots.
It gave one of those spots to a convicted murderer in his mid-60s, who will never pass the good character requirements to practice, and who violated his parole multiple times.

Today, the calendar makes a right triangle, for the last time this century.
This Saturday is October 24, 2026.
Write it as 10/24/26 or 24/10/26, and the same beautiful relationship appears:
10² + 24² = 26²
100 + 576 = 676
But here’s what makes today special.
There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples. Only a handful fit our calendar.
Using the rule
month² + day² = (last two digits of the year)²,
the month cannot exceed 12, and the day cannot exceed 31. Those small limits leave exactly 12 qualifying dates in this century.
Today is the last.
The next will be March 4, 2105:
3² + 4² = 5²
That is a wait of more than 78 years.
An infinite family of triangles. Just twelve appearances on a century’s calendar.
Happy Pythagorean Triple Day.

Bob, I say this with respect. Somewhere along the way you lost the plot.
Come downtown with me. Any day. Ride the TTC, take a walk down Queen West, the street that used to be the coolest strip in the country and now looks like a plywood showroom.
Then look me in the eye and tell me Toronto's on the right track.
I'm not angry, I'm disappointed. You've lived here for decades. You know what this city used to feel like.
Right now 35% of Torontonians don't feel safe walking their own neighbourhood after dark. Subway delays are up more than 50% since 2019, and "disorderly behaviour" is one of the top reasons.
Even after the numbers came down, the city's own count found more than 12,000 people experiencing homelessness last fall.
And on Queen West, shops that were there for decades are gone, and the boarded-up windows are what's left.
These aren't talking points. This is people's everyday. So I'm asking for real: get on the subway, walk those blocks, and tell me what you see. Toronto deserves better, and so do the people who live here.

All the individuals who were close to Justin Trudeau and stuck with him for a decade (or most of it), and who are NOW saying publicly how horrible / unqualified he was...
...owe an explanation to all Canadians as to why they didn't speak up when it would have mattered.

As Canadians, we can't call ourselves progressive, or feminists, if we allow women to be segregated in a public setting. Speak up now, or tell your daughters you're cool with this... and this is their future.
Milton, Ontario:
A mayoral candidate forum was held last Saturday at the Muslim Association of Milton. The event was advertised as “all are welcome” but non-Muslims who attended were surprised when they were told they had to move seats. Seating was segregated by gender in accordance with Sharia Law even though the meeting was held outside of the temple and open to the public.

Students didn’t break OSAP. The Ford government failed to properly oversee it, and students shouldn’t pay the price.
They were warned in 2023. Nearly $1 billion later, we deserve to know what happened, why it took so long to act, and how 7 private career institutions received so much despite the major red flags. #onpoli
