The Hitcher (1986)

A drearily violent contemporary Western fever dream born of desolate highway sleep deprivation, gleefully violent policing, and a particularly menacing evil-incarnate serial killer. Plot conveniences as rest stops on an excellently paced drive. Pretty good!

Good morning oomfies, have a great day and start of the week! 🌼💛

Kingdom of Heaven (2005)

A long, beautifully shot historical epic (though very loose on portraying actual history) with a strong central message. The depiction of war here is absolutely brutal. Quite good!
