Day 25 of building an app a day for 30 days
Built a maps app today for history buffs! It shows you what happened in history wherever you are in the world in that exact spot youre standing
Not just events but buildings, streets, vanished structures etc
You can scrub backwards to any time period you want using the slider and save places you wish or follow a walkin route that strings together nearby entries into a sort of "guided tour:)
The entire world couldn't be completed in just one day ofc but Im planning to expand it!
the best app ideas on the internet are sitting in r/SomebodyMakeThis and nobody builds them
the demand is right there
whats a tiny app/tool you built just bcoz something annoyed you?
mine was an expense log you can open really fast and just type "lunch 12 usd". no bank login, nothing fancy
Its so funny that i end up using my tiny builds much more than the larger projects lol
If your posts stopped showing up in X search, check this before you assume youre shadowbanned (like i immediately did)
since april the Latest tab hides the last 7 days for some searches
search "from:yourhandle since:2026-10-17" and open the Top tab instead
all of mine were there..🙃
Hot take: claude code can carry a big app perfectly fine
You just gotta write a comprehensive plan down before it starts and keep to it
My simplified setup for shipping 10 apps with Claude in 1 week:
1. one session per app, each in its own git worktree so they cant touch each others files
2. auto approve anything that stays inside the project folder
3. hard stop on anything that spends money
4. a Claude.md in every repo with whatever it kept getting wrong
5. a fresh session at the end with one job: break in and red team my build
6. ship when perfect
all 10 repos are opensource bcoz they were made for people who asked for them on reddit or X
Had Claude write out hundreds of sound laws so i can see what a made up english word would have looked like 6000 years ago
yes i'm a huge language nerd🤓easily one of the best use cases of AI!
Claude Code tip: stop typing your prompts!
Use a dictation tool and just talk for a couple of minutes
you end up saying all the stuff you would never bother typing and thats usually the stuff Claude actually needs
I use Wispr flow and dictate pretty much everything now, prompts & emails included
Anthropic is now scanning opensource projects for security bugs for free with its strongest models including mythos
the early run: 97 serious findings, 85 of them good enough to report
the catch is that its for important projects only and nobody checks the reports before they reach you
for my own little repos i think i'll just keep doing the cheap version
I dont care how good Opus 5.5 or GPT 6 get. I'm not letting an agent spend money or leave my laptop without asking me first.
Earlier this year i built 30 apps in 30 days for a challenge.
Every session was on auto approve for anything inside its own project folder, the ONLY hard stops were anything that costs money or leaves the machine.
Where do you draw the line with yours?
I haven't posted on X for quite a while.
Some say they've seen extreme account growth while they were away, others say their account pretty much died
What's your experience been like if you've ever taken a long-ish break?🤔

Today isn’t a side project launch.
SwarmPane is officially live. 🚀
Run all your AI coding agents in parallel, see what they’re doing, and ship without the chaos.
Try it for $1 → swarmpane.com
Whats the ONE thing you still do yourself even tho an agent could easily take off you?
(Mine is naming things, i just dont trust AI with names😬)
your model is NOT your bottleneck!
cache reads bill at a tenth of normal input so the expensive half of your bill is usually context you are rebuilding over and over, not intelligence you are buying
fix what you send before you argue about what to send it to
Anthropic tested over 1000 people clicking approve in claude code
humans caught 13.6% of the dangerous commands while their classifier caught 89%
After 50 prompts in 1 session the humans were down to 5%...
If you use the ChatGPT mac app, update it. A researcher got malicious commands running with the app's own trusted permissions in about a dozen lines of code
Patched sept 25 in 26.924.20706
The bigger issue: these apps can reach your files and other apps so an app bug leaks stuff you never typed into a chat
Lately I've seen lots of people paying for a coding agent buy the expensive one to do work that the cheap one does just as well
5 jobs you can hand over right now:
5. the first draft of anything you plan to rewrite
get the shape wrong fast and cheap then hand it up
