From a casual jog with Olympian Mo Farah to putting in a shift with TikTok queen bus aunty, Andy Burnham seems to have a knack for social media savviness.
Political messaging used to mean podiums and press conferences, but now internet vibes and ‘aura farming’ appear to be just as crucial.
But does Burnham come across as charismatic and cool without trying too hard?

Great that @andyburnham is considering freezing rents. This is a simple and effective measure to help renters stay in our homes. It would reduce homelessness, save tenants money and bring down government costs.

Today, the new Prime Minister set out his intention to reform social care in England. Carers Trust and 5 million carers across the country wish him well on this road that many have tried to travel before, with or without lecterns.
As we look ahead to the Casey Commission's initial reporting later this summer, we hope that the stars could be aligning for social care and carers alike...

Andy Burnham has made his first speech as Prime Minister, and will be announcing his cost-of-living plans tomorrow.
At Citizens Advice, we believe it's time for the government to #TurnTheTide on the biggest drains on people's budgets - energy, housing and debt.

Lived in Greater Manchester all my life and it’s properly exciting to see Andy Burnham as PM. He’s made loads of positive changes in GM in the last few years, mainly the Bee Network but he’s also helped friends with day to day things. Hopefully he can pull it off. #AndyBurnham

Congratulations to @andyburnham.
I've worked with Andy for years. He gets places like the West Midlands, because he's spent his career standing in places like it, not looking down at them from Westminster.
He's spent years arguing for regions like ours to have more control over our own money, transport and housing. Now he's in a position to deliver it. So, I’m looking forward to continuing that work together. Lower bills. More jobs. More council homes, built faster.
Let's get on with it.

But I am optimistic that my mate - sorry our Prime Minister - can reconnect politics with people.
