N Chandrasekaran' s decision not to seek another term as Chairman of Tata Sons goes beyond leadership change. It raises fundamental questions about corporate governance & stewardship in India's most trusted business group. When ownership and management are split between Tata Trusts & Tata Sons, how do you institutionalize alignment while navigating structural friction? My op-ed in today's @htTweets explores what this means for Bombay House & Indian Inc.

Which is exactly why it’s called the #DemocraticNewsroom | All views on the table thrashed out in full public glare. Perfectly aligned to this new age - as opposed to an earlier era when greying ‘wise men’ pontificated & solemnly sold a “narrative” to aam janta, that was often rooted in their biases. Bravo @sardesairajdeep @PreetiChoudhry @PoojaShali @gauravcsawant @Akshita_N @IndiaToday 👏👏👏

India’s start-up ecosystem enters a new phase. Its not about how many start-ups we create, or capital raised, or how quickly they become unicorns. It’s about building enduring, innovative businesses that compete with the best in the world. My review of Lift-Off Nation in the HBL.

Hello @LloydMathias, Not just the #IranWar and rising petrol/diesel prices. Rapid rooftop solar installation is also accelerating EV adoption in India. With fuel prices high and home solar making charging costs near-zero, more owners are seriously switching from ICE vehicles to EVs. The PM Surya Ghar (@PMSuryaGhar) rooftop solar push is quietly becoming one of the biggest policy successes of recent years. #IranWar #PMSuryaGhar #EVIndia #RooftopSolar @mnreindia
The #IranWar and the consequent petrol/diesel price hikes are driving EV sales around the world! • 1 in 8 vehicles sold in India is now electric • Electric car registrations in India have nearly doubled in a year

Boarding on AI 882 AMD-DEL is delayed by 20 minutes because Supreme Court Judge Vipul Pancholi & wife had to be VIP boarded first. They walk in with a posse of 6 guards + 3 AI staffers. Is this the VIP culture that India’s judiciary advocates? @MLJ_GoI ? #VIPculture 🚨#lalbatti

So the Honourable Supreme Court judge had a group of 6 waiting for him at Delhi Airport; who escorted him into 2 carts that sped away from the aam janta. They exited via the designated🚨VIP LIFTS at Delhi Airport🙄#MeraBharatMahan 🇮🇳@LiveLawIndia @rsprasad @MenakaGuruswamy 2/2

India is right in tightening satellite internet security rules. Law enforcement agencies can exercise control over local telcos Jio & Airtel but not with Starlink. Then there’s Musk’s own political agenda. My take in @ShivaniGupta_5 ‘s show on @CNNnews18

Why India should be extra-cautious of Starlink launching services in India. xitter.cf/laraseligman/status/21…
Incredible scoop by my @WSJ colleagues: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, a decision that sparked panic in Kyiv and confusion inside the Trump administration. wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli…

Cricket was the word’s most popular sport in the world till 1934. It’s still remains #2. Football, Cricket & Basketball are in the top 3. Observe the spectacular rise of F1 & the huge drop of Wrestling from #2 to off the list. And what’s the logic of combining field & ice hockey?

I know I'll come to regret wading into Indian X (😅) ,but I'm in London right now, not far from where this protest took place, and no one here cares. More people come to greet Modi at the airport in India than turned up for this. Indians tend to think the world outside is paying much more attention to India than it actually is. It's only when you leave as I did that you realize how little India matters on the world stage. China, on the other hand...
In London’s Jantar Mantar right now.

Not often do you read a book that makes you think about how people think. In his book "𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗶: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼n," Biju Dominic points to a fundamental flaw in modern communication: the fact that we keep relying on rational arguments to drive action. His point: Most decisions are made non-consciously within milliseconds. For me as a former Mumbaikar who used the local trains - the work done on preventing deaths of people crossing the railway tracks - the Wadala experiment - was touching. Biju and team suggested painting yellow track lines to help pedestrians judge approaching train speed, adding photo warnings (gory pics of accident victims) and installing localized two-tone engine horns - that helped reduce fatalities drastically.
