On Thursday, Ternya, our NanoBio REU student, presented her final poster on Expedited Development of Tablet Formulations. We loved having her here this summer and will miss her greatly, but cannot wait to see what the future holds for her! Best of luck Ternya!
We are excited to announce the two newest doctors out of the Locklin Lab, Dr. Grant Crane and Dr. Yutian Ke! Both of them will be working with the @UGANewMaterials after graduation. We are incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do next!
We had a great time Friday at our lab lunch to officially welcome Michael and Ryan to the lab! Ryan is working towards a PhD in chemistry and Michael is working towards a PhD in biochemical engineering. We are so excited to have you both in the lab!!
We want to thank everyone who contributed to the Riverbend Research Labs holiday food drive. We are excited to say we collected over 100 pounds of food for the Athens Area Emergency Food Bank! Thank you all for helping us fight hunger this holiday season!!
We had a great time at our gobble til you wobble Thanksgiving potluck. A lot of delicious food, fun games, and a Georgia win made for a perfect night! Thank you Regina for hosting, we can’t wait to do it again next year!
Last week we got to go to the UGA Board of Visitors meeting and hear Dr Locklin and @KatherineShayne speak about how they are working to combat plastic pollution and also find biologically degradable alternatives for things like straws and coffee cups! Great talk & lots of fun!
Big congratulations to Scott who got 1st place in the ISMR poster contest with his poster on Waterborne Polyhydroxyalkankate Colloidal Dispersions!! Way to go!
We enjoyed participating in the ISMR conference last week held at UGA. There were a lot of great presentations and posters on polymers from renewable sources and ways to combat plastic pollution in a wide range of applications!
We had a great time at our welcome-to-the-lab-lunch today at Cali n Tito’s! A big welcome to Josh and Ethan who are our new PhD students. We’re excited to have you and can’t wait to see all the great things you guys do over the next few years!
