New strict vape sales rules is good news for Turkish barber shops. #r4today

#TheBudget will cut tariffs on food imports. 💪 Including boiled sweets, both “filled or unfilled” - yay!! They are a huge part of our family budget, and the thought of all those massive savings NOT being available for filled sweets would probably have broken us as a household.

I suppose if this new school approach helps students to stop talking out of their oracy, then it must be a good thing. 😉 #r4today

Poor performances in the long jump. “Is it the sand?” says Colin Jackson. What?! So like you go backwards as you land on it?! 😂😂 #UltimateChampionship

The #UltimateChampionship Committee got together: “What shall we make the trophies out of?” Intern: “Concrete?” Committee: “Great idea!” 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

#UltimateChampionship feels a bit like the Hundred cricket - everything done at 1000mph, fireworks everywhere, all about money, a bit vulgar.

No I’m sorry- both the singers and the songs are substandard - keeping it real here. Never mind - we have the true greats tomorrow (Gershwin, Bernstein) - all will be forgotten from tonight. #BBCProms

OMG - the young guy is singing so flat! It’s just making everyone in our household wince! #BBCProms

Tapestry is hugely important as a cultural and artistic landmark. No - not the Bayeux one, but two classic albums of the same name by Don McLean and Carole King. #r4today

Foiled in their attempts to get relegated last season, Spurs have made a determined start this year. #PremierLeague

It’s starting to annoy me now how Root reviews every LBW decision against him, even when it’s dead in front like today. As a captain, reviews should be used judiciously. #EngvPak

I read a great metaphor about the difference between working Royals and non-working Royals. They’re all like a very expensive, hereditary branch of the National Trust. The "working" ones do guided tours and wave. The "non-working" Friends get the perks but do nothing. #wato

Ah shame - Keely maybe got her “race strategy” wrong by not running faster than the winner? 🤪#Euros #800m

I quite like watching athletics on TV, so this week has plenty from Birmingham. Disappointed to see such poor crowd numbers though - a lot of empty blue seats. Apparently prices are really steep (both ticket price and food/drink) - seems a bit of an own goal if folk stay away?

Another @derbyspolice officer is being investigated for alleged AI misconduct. In June, it launched a criminal investigation into a junior detective. Serious leadership failure has happened at this force since Covid. #TheyWorkForUs

#TheHundred commentary this afternoon is the most inane nonsense ever - coffee, Swiss cheese topped with “what’s the biggest pet?” 🥱
