1. The Last of Us — Bill/Frank episode + Ellie/Dina. Game already had it. Show made it the point. Review bombs followed.
2. Castle — Late seasons got sloppy. Chemistry died. Some just filed it under “the show changed.”
3. The Boys S4 — Frenchie gets a boyfriend + the satire stops winking. Half the audience called it a lecture.
4. Chucky (TV) — Killer doll show now starring two high-school boys kissing. That was the exit for a lot of horror fans.
5. The Witcher (Netflix) — Book/game crowd left after the story and characters got rewritten around new identities.
6. Rings of Power — Tolkien + “modern values” casting and story. Most expensive way to lose an audience.
7. Star Trek: Discovery — Serial feelings and identity arcs instead of exploration. Classic fans checked out.
8. Doctor Who (13th/15th) — Companions and plots started feeling like PSAs. Ratings never recovered.
9. The Acolyte — Lesbian witch coven in Star Wars. One-and-done after the review bombing.
10. Velma / She-Hulk / Batwoman — The triple pack of “we’re lecturing you now.” Audience said no thanks.
Not every gay character kills a show. When the identity becomes the plot, a chunk of the original crowd walks.
I have some thoughts on why this was true. Way, way, way back in the day, there was only “ice cream,” but it would melt easily if it wasn’t stored properly the whole time. That wasn’t a big problem in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s… unless you hated washing dishes and ate it straight out of the container. Then it would leak out the bottom and sides.
Over time, with rising prices and poor infrastructure for keeping ice cream frozen at all times, they decided to make the containers pretty much waterproof. This fixed the leaking when it thawed and meant people stopped worrying so much about keeping the ice cream perfectly frozen. Seriously, who returns freezer-burned ice cream? Very, very few people.
But some did complain, so they had to fix that too. Now “ice cream” is just a dairy treat or frozen dessert, because it can sit at room temperature and barely even look melted. You can refreeze it and you can barely tell the difference.
And now people think they’re lactose intolerant when they eat this “dairy treat,” but in reality they’re just chemical-intolerant. If it doesn’t bother you, you’re probably chemical-dependent at this point.Just my opinion.
Don’t think too hard about it… I didn’t.
If you see an elephant you have a brain with eyesight, anything else and you probably should get a help.

In all honesty: How stupid do you have to be to believe this is true?

WOW! Used cars are cheaper than new and cars depreciate. You should look at getting a job at this, cause no one in the history of anything has ever noticed that.

If I were ever abducted by Aliens, the first thing I’d ask is whether they came from a planet where people also deny science.
Is it just me, or the second someone says 'greenhouse gases' or 'climate change' their credibility just yeets itself out the window?

Added a rubber mat for the back of my Cybertruck. It’s a 3”x4” mat. It doesn’t move at all and anything I put on it doesn’t move either if it has a flat side. Grocery bags, 12 packs, and just about everything else. On sale now at @Costco for $14.99. The sub-trunk even stay up when you lift it. Does not fit Cybertruck totes without cutting it down.

At first I was taking a picture of how full this can was after I popped the top. But then I zoomed in and it looks like an oil spill! I can’t believe I still drink this poison. ☠️
People are mentioning the Cybertruck reservations as a comparison to this one. There’s really no comparison.
The Cybertruck was supposed to launch at a lower price point, and when the Foundation Series came in higher, a lot of early reservers just couldn’t afford it—cancellations came flooding in.
The Roadster, on the other hand, is being positioned as a true halo car from the start. It’ll probably cost around twice as much as a Model S Plaid (before options like the performance/track package). It’s not trying to be mass-market—it’s chasing something legendary.
It’s still early, but I’d bet it becomes the fastest production car anywhere, with features no other car will have: FSD, @grok integration, the optional @SpaceX cold-gas thruster package for mind-blowing acceleration and handling, over 250 mph top speed, a massive 620-mile range, a removable glass roof that stores in the trunk for open-air runs, and seating for four. Some of these are rumored but you can bet this thing is going to be next-level.
I was brought up to be a very polite person. Anyone else feel awkward just turning @grok off when you are done with the conversation? And too often I find myself thanking Grok for an answer, and my wife looks at me like I’m crazy.
